Feel the rhythms, embrace the colors and savor the patterns found only underwater. Experience a world worth celebrating – and saving.   Waters of the World Travel the world in 80 habitats. Dive into Oceans, from coastal kelp forests to the seafloor. Explore the self-contained ecosystems of Islands and Lakes. Visit Rivers—big and small—and learn more about our local waters in the new At Home on the Great Lakes exhibit. Meet hundreds of amazing animals, from tiny mantella frogsto a a giant octopus, from a Grand Cayman blue iguana to Nile knifefish, and from moon jellies to sea stars. We even have map turtles, in case you get lost. Caribbean Reef Take a 360-degree tour of an underwater reef community. Follow a green sea turtle. Peek at a moray eel in a rocky crevice. Watch regal rays glide by. Get eye-to-eye with parrot fish and sharks. Visit Caribbean Reef, Shedd’s award-winning 90,000-gallon circular habitat in the grand rotunda. Amazon Rising Take an exotic journey in the Amazon, home to one-third of all living things. Watch out for anacondas and piranhas, spiders, rays and a camouflaged caiman. In churning river channels, still lakes and even flooded treetops look for tetras, turtles and fruit-eating fish called tambaqui. See how the region’s animals, plants and people adapt to the water’s dramatic annual rise and fall. Abbott Oceanarium The Abbott Oceanarium immerses you in the vibrant coastal ecosystem of beluga whales, Pacific white-sided dolphins, sea otters and sea lions. You’ll also find a host of fishes and invertebrates that make their homes where freshwater flows into the ocean or where tides turn seascapes to landscapes and back again each day. Use our self-guided map to discover how animals are linked to each other, their homes and you. Polar Play Zone Kids have a place at Shedd that they can call their own—Polar Play Zone. It’s cool as ice and twice as nice! The penguins think so, too. Play! Splash! Pretend! What would you like to be? A sleek sliding penguin? A deep-sea explorer? How about both? In Polar Play Zone, you can slip into a penguin suit and try being a bird in the Icy South play area. From there, head to the Icy North to explore the belugas’ Arctic waters in a kid-sized submarine. Don’t forget to shake hands—or is it arms?—with colorful sea stars in the touch pools. In Polar Play Zone, you’ll learn about polar opposites—big and small, fast and slow, shallow and deep, even north and south—while you play. The Oceanarium Aquatic Presentation​ is included however based on available seating and remaining show times at the time of guest arrival. Shedd Aquarium) contains over 25,000 fish, and was for some time the largest indoor aquarium in the world with 5,000,000 US gallons of water. The Shedd Aquarium, which opened on May 30, 1930, was the first inland aquarium with a permanent saltwater fish collection. Located on the shores of Lake Michigan, Shedd Aquarium brings you eye-to-eye with more than 32,500 aquatic animals. Explore the recreated environments of the Amazon River and Philippine coral reefs. Itinerary Depart Edinburgh at 08:15 and travel west, past Stirling castle to your first stop at Doune Castle. This area of Scotland has certainly seen its fair share of fighting and warfare. Stirling castle was once known as the 'Key to Scotland', and it was here that William Wallace (immortalised by Mel Gibson in the film Braveheart) defeated the English army in 1297. After William Wallace's death it was Robert the Bruce who continued the fight for independence and you will pass the site of his most famous victory in 1314 at the Battle of Bannockburn. Then you arrive at the fantastic medieval stronghold of Doune castle. Built for Robert Stewart, the Duke of Albany, over 600 years ago the castle is still in great condition and you will have time for photos. You might even have seen the castle before, it was made famous by the film 'Monty Python and The Holy Grail', with many scenes filmed here. You then continue a little further on to Callander. After a short coffee stop you cross the Highland boundary fault line leaving the rolling farms for the wild mountains and forests of the Highlands. You will make a short stop at Loch Luibnaig before you continue over the Braes of Balquhidder, the final resting place of Highland outlaw Rob Roy MacGregor. Made famous by Sir Walter Scott, Rob Roy was a sort of Highland Robin Hood, he stole from the rich, but never quite got round to giving it to the poor! From Balquhidder the tour winds its way through the tough knot of mountains known as Breadalbane (meaning the 'high country of Scotland') before we stop for lunch in a small West Highland village. Shortly after lunch you stop for the short walk out to visit Kilchurn Castle, a magnificent ruin situated in the middle of Loch Awe and former home of the Campbells of Breadalbane. You will continue along the banks of Loch Awe through Campbell country to the picturesque town of Inveraray on the shores of Loch Fyne. Here you can visit the 18th-century castle and home of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Campbell clan. (castle open Easter to mid-October). The town was built at the same time as the castle and has the air of a classic 18th-century planned village with its straight wide streets and dignified Georgian houses. You can take time to explore the town and maybe call at the Old Jail or the maritime museum, the Arctic Penguin. Leaving Inveraray, you take a drive up through the steep-sided mountains known as the Arrochar Alps to the great viewpoint at 'Rest and Be Thankful'. It was given its name in 1753 by the weary soldiers who had just finished building the old military road up through Glen Croe. From here you skirt around Loch Long and down to the Bonnie, Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond. This is Scotland's largest loch and it takes its name from the mountain Ben Lomond on the eastern shore. You make a short stop at the conservation village of Luss, with its quaint houses and stunning views across the loch. At 17.30 you make your way back to Edinburgh, with a short photo stop underneath Stirling Castle. Return time: 18:30 approx

The looming mountain of Tibidabo is visible from nearly the entire city of Barcelona. Reaching nearly 1700 feet high, Tibidabo Mountain Barcelona is the tallest peak of the Serra de Collserola. Besides being quite the sight from within Barcelona, this mountain is also a popular place for travelers to visit who are seeking sweeping views of the city and coastline. Another attraction on the mountain is the Tibidabo Amusement Park. Built in 1889, this amusement park has the feeling of stepping back in time. If you’re tired of visiting the cathedrals and museums of Barcelona, escape the bustle of the city for an adventure up Tibidabo. The Tibidabo Amusement Park is a delight for families, couples, and groups. Over the years, the park has retained many of its original rides, many dating from the early twentieth century. On 6 levels you will find different attractions including: roller coaster, log flume, bumper cars, carousel, etc. There is a 4D cinema in 'Dididado' for the little ones and a 'horror house' for the older children. This show is not for the faint hearted and although in Spanish it is scary fun! On a hot sunny day you will enjoy a great day on top of the world at Tibidabo Amusement Park. Good old fashioned fun and an adventure to get there! Getting to the rides at the top of Tibidabo Mountain Barcelona is half the fun of this amusement park. One of the ways to reach the park is the Tibidabo tram called Tramvia Blau. This tram was first built in 1901, and both kids and adults alike will love its historic charm. The tram brings visitors halfway up the mountain. To continue on to the amusement park, it is necessary to climb aboard the funicular. A ride on the funicular will reveal spectacular views of Barcelona and the chance to the visit the church at the very summit of the mountain. Maybe it's not the easiest way to go to Tibidabo, but sure it's the most charming!

MUSEUM - THE MANCHESTER UNITED EXPERIENCE Young or old, Manchester United fan or not, the Museum and Tour Centre is the place to be for a fun-packed day out. Opened by football legend Pele, the museum is an in-depth and interactive guide through the club’s history, with something for everyone to enjoy. The Trophy Room: View the vast array of honours and trophies won since 1908 when the Reds were crowned First Division Football League Champions. Legends: Charlton, Law, Best and Cantona; United’s history is full of football greats. This section is a match-winning hall of fame dedicated to United Legends. Munich: Time stands still as you hear the tragic news report that shocked the world. Newspaper articles, photographs and personal items from the Busby Babes make a moving reminder of that fateful day, 6 February 1958. The Treble Exhibition: Experience the drama as United’s glorious 1998-99 Treble-winning season unfolds. Relive the climax as an enthralling ten days saw Sir Alex’s side beat Arsenal to the Premiership title, lift the FA Cup and enjoy an unforgettable night in the Nou Camp... Kit: From Sandy Turnbull’s shirt in United’s first FA Cup success in 1909 to Brian Kidd’s 1968 European Cup final strip, see how the style, colours and material have changed over the years. Departure from the Eiffel Tower, the crew will welcome you on board one of the three trimarans belonging to the “Bateaux Parisiens”, for a one hour cruise.
