A Shorter Day Tour visiting Rosslyn Chapel, Scott’s View & Melrose Abbey. Departing at 09.30 your tour takes you south to the world famous Scott’s View, with stunning views over the Tweed Valley and the Eildon Hills. You will also get the opportunity to visit the original Wallace Monument. From here you travel to Melrose with the opportunity to explore its great Border Abbey, founded by the Cistercians in the 12th Century. The Cistercian monks had very close connections with the Knights Templar and Melrose Abbey is the burial place of Robert the Bruce's heart, brought back from the crusades in Moorish Spain. Following lunch in Melrose you will make your way to the stunning 15th century Rosslyn Chapel, immortalised in Dan Brown’s “Da Vinci Code” and you can find out more about the myths and legends surrounding the whereabouts of the “Holy Grail”

Calypso Star Charters is fully licensed by the Department of Environment and Water.  They are also privileged to be the only one-day shark cage diving operator who is permitted to use natural fish berley to attract the Great White Sharks to our boat at the Neptune Islands Marine Park.  Being permitted to berley provides you with the best possible chance of a shark sighting and productive interaction close to the vessel and cage resulting in a memorable encounter and wonderful photographic opportunities. They only use locally sourced, natural fish product to attract the sharks, our tethered baits are attached by natural fibre twine.  The use of synthetic decoys is not permitted in South Australia. The practices are conducted with the utmost respect to the welfare of sharks Along with this license, they are proud to be Advanced Eco Certified and the Captains’ are Eco Certified Guides. Receiving this certification provides us with the recognition that we conduct the operations in a way that are environmentally conscious and sustainable whilst also providing an educational component. No minimum passenger numbers. If you're the only person booked they will still go! More departures than any operator. They operate on every available Activity Day.  The vessel, Calypso Star 2 is fitted with a gyroscopic active stabiliser, which has reduced the rolling motion of the vessel by up to 80%. The trip out can be rough but the Neptune Islands give us good shelter from the waves. The vessel can accommodate up to 45 guests across 2 decks with ample seating in air-conditioned comfort. 2 hot showers are also provided onboard. Actively support SARDI, CSIRO and Flinders University in their ongoing research into the Great White Sharks and their movement patterns around Neptune Islands. ITINERARY Escape busy city life on this half-day trip from Dublin and take this Northern Coastal tour to Malahide Castle.    At the first stop you can enjoy a live-guided tour of the refurbished Malahide Castle and explore the grounds that spam across 250 acres. Visit the unique local craft shops or sit back with a hot cup of coffee and a sweat treat from the Castle's coffee shop.  Continue on with a scenic coastal drive through the picturesque Malahide & fishing village of Howth. Take time to wander around this charming village before we make our way to Howth summit for a spectacular photo opportunity overlooking Dublin Bay.
