Los mamíferos que están al cuidado de esta organización son adoptados o rescatados de instalaciones que han perdido la licencia o de particulares que poseían el animal ilegalmente. Normalmente los animales que podrá observar de cerca son panteras, leopardos, caracal, linces e incluso algunos mamíferos más pequeños. The building that today houses the national museum del Prado was designed by architect Juan de Villanueva in 1785. It was constructed to house the Natural History Cabinet, by orders of King Charles III. However, the building's final purpose - as the new Royal Museum of Paintings and Sculptures - was the decision of the monarch's grandson, King Ferdinand VII, encouraged by his wife Queen Maria Isabel de Braganza. The national museum del Prado, opened to the public for the first time in November 1819. Visitors to this exhibit can reach out and gently touch the backs of cownose rays. Atlantic rays and sharks as they swim gracefully through the crystal-clear water. The exhibit presents these incredible species in a way that highlights their importance in a healthy ocean ecosystem. It also emphasizes the valued of conserving essential coastal habitats, such as mangroves and lagoons. ATLANTIC HARBOR SEALS Visitors can enjoy the Atlantic harbor seals in their exhibit on the Aquarium plaza before buying admission tickets. Watch the seals swim, play and rest.
