What a capital tour! This is simply the best way to travel between elegant Melbourne and vibrant Sydney (or in reverse), because you see so many iconic sights on the way. The Victorian Alps, the Great Dividing Range, vast forests and mighty rivers. Learn about some great Australian legends: Ned Kelly and the infamous bushrangers (outlaws) when you’re in Mansfield and the frenetic Australian gold rush of the1850s around Beechworth. Ned Kelly stood trial for murder here, but the town is now equally famous for its abundant local produce. Stay overnight on a genuine working farm, talking with the family, learning about farm life, meeting the wildlife and farm animals. Then it’s on to the nation’s stately capital of Canberra, with its history, imposing Parliament House, museums, art galleries and memorials. Your tour ends in Sydney, then you can independently explore this fabulous city with its Opera House beside the sea. With small tour groups, there is plenty of time to get out and explore nature at its very best.
You will enjoy the benefits of personalised and interactive with our experienced and well-trained tour guides * Please note Canberra - Sydney component is operated by contracted operator and drop off is at a central location in Sydney CDB.
Leeds Castle
Heading out to Leeds Castle, we pass through Greenwich, home of the famous 'Cutty Sark' tea clipper and the Royal Observatory, and cross over the Greenwich Meridian. Leeds Castle was described by Lord Conway as 'the loveliest castle in the world' and is set in the middle of a natural lake, surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens. We will take you in before the doors open to the public, to experience its magic in an atmosphere of still tranquillity. There will also be time to explore the castle grounds where you will find the ' Lady Baillie Garden' with views over the lake, an aviary and maze.
Canterbury Cathedral
Travelling through Kent, the county known as the 'Garden of England', we make our way to Canterbury to visit the Cathedral. This magnificent Cathedral is the most important church within the worldwide Anglican faith. The central 'Bell Harry Tower' dates back to 1498, and the crypt to the 11th Century. It is here where your guide will tell the story of the shocking murder of Archbishop Thomas Beckett in 1170 and there will also be time to explore the narrow streets of Canterbury. There will be an opportunity for lunch in Canterbury.
Dover
We continue our tour through the picturesque landscape of Kent dotted with unusual buildings and quaint little villages to Dover, where you'll see the famous White Cliffs standing 400 feet above sea level. Brooding above the White Cliffs is the sprawling Dover Castle still watching over the town 800 years on.
* Lunch not included in the tour price.

Give Detroit the attention it deserves on this Detroit walking tour that shows you everything you absolutely need to see in this awesome American city.
Meet your local guide at a cafe on Broadway, and take a walk around the nearby area which includes spots such as Foxtown, Madison Avenue, and Paradise Valley. You'll see the fabulous Fox Theater, Comerica Park (which is home of the Detroit Tigers) the beautiful Detroit Opera House, and several other Detroit highlights - the perfect way to familiarise yourself with the city. Next on your Detroit city tour, take a quick ride over to the popular Greektown district on the elevated train called the 'People Mover'.
In Greektown, you can taste a super-sweet piece of baklava, see a casino, or visit a historic church that was a stop on the Underground Railroad. Hopefully during our time in Greektown you'll get to see a waiter light some liquor on fire over a piece of cheese, a classic Greek tradition. Opa! Another ride on the People Mover leads to a stop in the Civic Center area. Here you will see some famous Detroit sculptures, and have a view of the massive Renaissance Center, home to the tallest hotel in the Western Hemisphere. You'll also be able to give our friends in Canada a wave from here!
Next on this Detroit tour, we visit the 1929 art-deco Guardian Building to see the remarkably-beautiful lobby and banking room. It cannot be denied that this is one of the most beautiful buildings in Detroit, and may even be one of the most gorgeous you see on your travels in the US - seriously!
Walk by another landmark, the 47-story Penobscot Building, to American and Lafayette Coney Island restaurants, where you can try a free 'coney dog' - a grilled hot dog with Detroit-style chili, mustard and onions. Detroiters have been devouring them for more than 90 years, so to get into the local spirit we suggest that you give it a go!
Our last stop on this Detroit walking tour by seeing a famous renovated hotel which originally opened in 1924, and then we'll finish up with a ride on the People Mover back to Broadway.
