The Union 3G114 C-Series BS 5 Lever Mortice Deadlocks are suitable for use on timber doors hinged on the left or right with the keys being suitable for use on doors up to 50mm thick. The lock has a deadbolt operation and is locked or unlocked by key from either side. It has force resistant, anti drill, anti-pick and anti-saw security features and is available with square forend and striking plate with a 20mm bolt throw. The 3G114 mortice deadlocks are supplied with one plain escutcheon and one escutcheon with a cover plate, finished to match the faceplate/strike. Place the spindle bar through an existing tubular latch or lock and position one handle over the spindle bar. Ensuring the handle is square, mark the screw hole positions with a bradawl.2. Drill Ø2mm pilot holes and reposition the handle before securing using the wood screws provided.3. If fitting Bathroom handles, now insert the bathroom spindle bar through the deadbolt hole of the lock from the outside of the door and place the thumbturn onto the spindle bar. Tighten the grubscrew on the underside with the hex key provided.Designed to be used with any tubular mortice latch, a privacy lock is built into the handle for use in WC's or Bathrooms where no mortice lock is fitted.
