Laverstoke Mill is a site steeped in natural beauty and elegance. Astride the crystal clear River Test, situated within a Conservation Area and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in rural Hampshire just 60 miles from London. The striking redesign of the distillery is in part the inspiration of the acclaimed London designers at Heatherwick Studio. The careful renovation included a number of beautiful Victorian and Georgian buildings restored to their former glory. The site has been awarded the highly prestigious BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) Award for Sustainable Industrial Design.

Kraftvoller, straff strukturierter Rotwein aus einem guten Bordeaux Jahrgang, etwas schlanker als 2009 und 2010. Neben seiner intensiven Farbe zeigt der Sociando-Mallet konzentrierte schwarze Johannisbeer-Frucht. Ein klassischer Bordeaux, der im Jahrgang 2011 zur Spitze der Haut-Medoc zählt.

Der Pommard überzeugt durch sein verschwenderisches Bouquet nach Schwarzkirschen und roten Johannisbeeren. Am Gaumen präsentiert sich der Wein dicht, harmonisch und mit ausgeprägter Pinot-Frucht, mit Anklängen von Tabak und Gewürzen. Ein klassischer Pommard, der erst am Beginn seiner Entwicklung steht. Passt zu Rehrücken mit gebratenen Steinpilzen.
