Bis vor wenigen Jahren galt nämlich ein Verbot zur Herstellung von Absinthe. In Frankreich wurde das Verbot erst im Jahr 2011 aufgehoben, in Großbritannien schon im Jahr 1998. Und dabei ist der Absinthe eine Spirituose, die sich bereits vor über hundert Jahren größter Beliebtheit erfreute. Der Absinthe der Firma La Fee ist der erste Absinthe, der seit über hundert Jahren in Frankreich legal hergestellt wird. Wie für einen Absinthe üblich, besteht der Absinthe der Marke La Fee Absinthe nach traditionellem Rezept aus dem 19. Jahrhundert aus Wermutkraut, Anis, Fenchel und anderen Kräutern. Beim La Fee Absinthe Blanche herrschen vor allem die Anisnoten vor. Es handelt sich hierbei um einen milden und süßen Absinthe, der ohne Zugabe von Zucker zum Eiswasser getrunken werden kann. Der La Fee Absinthe Blanche ist sehr klar und ist daher kaum als Absinthe zu erkennen. Während der Verbotszeit galt der Absinthe Blanche deshalb als beliebte Schmugglerware. Charakteristik: Man trinkt den Absinthe Blanche traditionell mit Eiswasser. Die Mischung mit zwei bis vier Teilen Eiswasser verleiht dem Getränk ein milchig-weißes Aussehen. Der La Fee Absinthe Blanche eignet sich auch hervorragend als Zutat in traditionellen und modernen Cocktails. Schon vor hundert Jahren gehörte der Absinthe in jede gut sortierte Bar.
