Don’t miss the opportunity to visit bustling Amsterdam! Once you have crossed the border, you will admire pastoral polder landscapes and a multitude of windmills. Upon arrival in Amsterdam the tour will visit a local crafts center where see the production of Holland’s pride: traditional cheeses and clogs. Time for a short photo break near a traditional quaint Dutch windmill. The tour continues to the heart of Amsterdam, passing the Dutch National Bank and the former Heineken brewery museum. You can embark on an optional guided boat tour that takes you along Amsterdam’s picturesque canals. This is an unforgettable way to discover the old city and it is undoubtedly the number one attraction of Holland’s capital. Next stop: the tour now takes you to Amsterdam’s most famous square called the “DAM”. The guide takes you on a brief guided walk to the Royal Palace and other highlights of the city. After departing San Francisco, you’ll head through California’s capital city, Sacramento, through the Sierra foothills and into the famous Gold Rush Country, cresting a high mountain pass within the Sierra Nevada. Then we’ll wind our way through large pine forests, before dramatically descending into South Lake Tahoe. Afternoon:  In the evening, we’ll settle into our centrally located hotel and then head out to happy hour with the Apres Ski crowd at the base of Heavenly Mountain Resort before a comfy night’s rest.   SAMPLE ITINERARY – DAY 2 (FRIDAY) SOUTH LAKE TAHOE: CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE All Day:  While masses of people are piling into their cars to head to the mountains, you’ll be on the first lift up to carve the groomers, or to get fresh tracks in that Heavenly powder! Don’t worry if you’re not really into skiing, our guides will offer the opportunity to go out on a fabulously scenic drive on the mountain roads surrounding Lake Tahoe, or maybe even a snowshoe adventure! If you’re really just here for the casinos, they’re open 24 hours, and you’re welcome to see if Lady Luck is on your side all day if you like! Don’t want to miss out on any of it? No problem, we’re flexible: our guides know their stuff, and we’ll help you fit in a scenic drive in the morning, get yourself a half day ticket on the mountain, and then hit the casinos all night long!   SAMPLE ITINERARY – DAY 3 (SATURDAY) SOUTH LAKE TAHOE TO SQUAW VALLEY & TRUCKEE, CA Morning:  We’ll hit the road early this morning and head toward historic Tahoe City taking in views of Emerald Bay before heading toward the famous Squaw Valley Resort. If you’re heading up onto this epic ski and snowboarding destination today, you’ll be glad if you dusted off the cobwebs on Heavenly yesterday. This place is the real deal, where you can often see extreme athletes pushing the envelope, soaring from the cliffs as you ride up the famous KT-22 Express. Make sure you bring your swimsuit too: the High Camp Pool and Hot Tub high on the resort is open for business…all winter long! This side of the lake also offers amazing snowshoeing or cross country skiing opportunities as well. Once again, you’ll be offered the choice to head up on the ski hill, or we’ll take you out on the trails through Stanislaus National Forest or maybe a snowshoe hike near the Donner Memorial State Park and explore the history of the ill-fated pioneers of the Donner Party as they struggled to travel west in their wagons and became stranded in the winter of 1846-47. Monterey Carmel Tour Enjoy a sightseeing bus tour to Monterey and Carmel. This area in California has one of the most breathtaking coastlines in the world. The route south on Highway 1 through the beach town of Santa Cruz features one spectacular view after another such as the Monterey with time to visit the aquarium Scheduled stops on the tour include Steinbeck's Cannery Row in Monterey, the gallery and restaurant district of Carmel-by-the-Sea, and various vistas along the 17-Mile Drive including Pebble Beach Golf Course and the Lone Cypress. The tour returns through Silicon Valley, the high tech capital of the world. This tour also includes a 1 hour San Francisco Bay  Golden Gate Bay Cruise On this San Francisco Golden Gate tour, you’ll discover this city’s colorful history and world famous landmarks through personal headphone audio in 12 languages. During the Golden Gate Bridge cruises, you may experience frequent wildlife encounters that include seagulls, pelicans and sea lions. At times, you may see even harbor porpoises and whales. Departing in the heart of Historic Fisherman’s Wharf, at Pier 43 ½, sail past the San Francisco skyline and view the lively neighborhood of North Beach, the famous swimming clubs of Aquatic Park, the historic vessels at Hyde Street Pier, the San Francisco Maritime National Park, and numerous other exciting sights. As you head west towards the Golden Gate Bridge, cruise along Fort Mason and the Marina District which was devastated in the 1989 earthquake. Next, enjoy views of Crissy Field and the lush hillsides of the Presidio—both former army installations—that are now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Don’t miss incredible photo opportunities when sailing directly under the massive 4,200-foot span of the 746-foot tall San Francisco Golden Gate Bridge. As you steam back into the Bay, travel past the wildlife reserves of the Marin Headlands and the legendary town of Sausalito, once home to the 1960s’ flower generation. With Angel Island State Park to your left, slowly cruise around the infamous Island of Alcatraz. On your way back to Fisherman’s Wharf, see the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, and Coit Tower in the distance. After a full hour of exciting sights on Red and White Fleet’s Golden Gate Bridge boat tours, the barking sea lions at Pier 39 welcome you back to Pier 43 ½. Here, you can visit two National Historic Landmarks, the WWII submarine USS Pampanito and merchant vessel USS Jeremiah O'Brien.

Declarado Monumento Nacional en 1917, el enorme ejemplar de drago que encontramos en Icod de los Vinos mide 18 metros y su perímetro alcanza los 20 metros en la base del tronco. En su parque adyacente inaugurado en 1996 se exhiben distintas especies vegetales endémicas de la isla como cardones, tabaibas, palmeras o tilos.  Situada en las faldas del Teide, La Orotava ocupa buena parte del valle de mismo nombre en el norte de la isla. Gran parte del Parque Nacional del Teide –,montaña y sitio de culto aborigen–, pertenece a su municipio, lo que lo convierte en el de mayor altitud de España. Entre los lugares de interés que se pueden visitar en esta ciudad destacan la Iglesia de la Concepción (declarada Monumento Nacional), La Casa de los Balcones –,vivienda típica canaria del siglo XVII–, o el Liceo de Taoro.  Candelaria es la sede de la Virgen de Candelaria, patrona de Canarias, distinguido lugar sagrado y de peregrinaje del país situado al sureste de la isla. Sus fiestas patronales tienen lugar el 15 de agosto y se desarrollan en torno a la Basílica de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria (1959), Bien de Interés Cultural y uno de los principales templos del archipiélago. Junto a la basílica, la Plaza de la Patrona de Canarias alberga las estatuas de bronce de los nueve menceyes que gobernaron los nueve menceyatos o reinos prehistóricos guanches de Tenerife justo antes de la conquista.  Edad de los niños: de 2 a 11 años.
