As we head for the coast, you’ll cross gulleys and mountains, speeding though lush valleys where you’ll find plantations of bananas, pineapples and sugarcane. There are many different ways to see the Island and one of the best ways to discover some of its many off the beaten track attractions is by 4x4. Dare to discover the unknown in this route packed with adventure. The excursion in 4x4 safari (off road) will take you up to the Soria Reservoir through impressive volcanic landscapes with great views, Once there we’ll stop for a traditional breakfast (not included) where you’ll get to try the local specialities, freshly squeezed papaya juice and home-made bread then we’ll drive along more dirt tracks while you admire parts of the islands few tourists ever get to see, including cave dwellings, marvellous local plants, weird rock formations and lots of dust. Then we’ll continue down through fragrant pine forests heading for San Bartolomé de Tirajana where we’ll stop for lunch in a traditional restaurant; the menu includes chicken prepared in a lava oven, a selection of salads and potatoes with mojo. Sangria and soft drinks are also included in the price. After lunch we will continue through some of the island’s many nature reserves where we will make plenty of stops for photos before returning to your hotel in the afternoon.

Three hours are spent exploring 12-miles of history, beauty and wonder as you glide through the Black Canyon National Water Trail, with walls that in some places tower 2,000 feet above the river’s edge. Experience the waterfalls, hot springs and other geological wonders, the Desert Big Horn sheep, Osprey, Great Blue Heron and so much more. This trip is fully narrated by experienced, knowledgeable guides who offer incredible knowledge of the history of the Hoover Dam and the Black Canyon National Water trail. Lunch is included in a take-home, insulated souvenir bag. A refreshing stop along the way at a side beach will give you the opportunity to stretch your legs and to swim or play in the cool clear water of the Colorado River. Enjoy a full day tour taking in some of the most dramatic scenery of the Scottish Highlands. Visit Glencoe and have the chance to enjoy a cruise on Loch Ness and a visit to Urquhart Castle.  From Glasgow you will travel north before making a refreshment stop on the shores of Loch Lomond. Travelling the length of the loch, you will climb up into the Highlands, over the unique, dramatic landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount to majestic Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most haunting glens, site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.  Continuing via Loch Linnhe, you'll stop in the Fort William area for lunch, then journey onwards, passing beneath Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, before you enter the natural beauty of the Great Glen. Travelling on, you can admire the Caledonian Canal and the pretty village of Fort Augustus, enjoying spectacular views of Loch Ness as you drive along the shoreline to Urquhart Castle.  Loch Ness, 24 miles long and 700 feet deep, is most famous for sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately known as “Nessie”. You will spend 2 hours at Loch Ness, where you can choose to explore the ruins of Urquhart Castle* and learn of its history inside the modern visitor centre, and also take an Award Winning Jacobite cruise* across the loch.  Passing through Inverness, Capital of the Highlands, you will start your return journey home. Cross the Grampian Mountains and the woodland scenery of Perthshire, including the Forest of Atholl, with an evening refreshment stop at the Victorian resort town of Pitlochry, en route back to Glasgow.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA.
