One of the most famous buildings in the world, the Tower of London was constructed in the 11th century - almost a 1,000 years ago and has been witness to countless significant events in the development of Britain's now democratic monarchy. During your tour of the Tower of London you will meet the magnificent Yeoman Warders or 'Beefeaters', clad as they were in Tudor times, hear the legend of the ravens and spine chilling tales from the Tower's long history. See the infamous Bloody Tower where the Princes were murdered, Beauchamp Tower where visitors can read carved inscriptions of past prisoners and Traitors Gate where those unlucky enough not to survive imprisonment had their heads impaled - and much more. Westminster Abbey Glorious Architecture This magnificent gothic construct is a sight to behold and the incredible stained glass is some of the most impressive in the UK. Coronation Chair Created for King Edward I in 1296, the chair has been the seat for the crowning of every monarch since 1308, including Queen Victoria and our current reigning Queen, HRH Elizabeth II. It is the oldest piece of furniture in the UK that is still used for its original intention. Poets’ Corner The literary corner of the Abbey is named due to the large amount of poets and writers buried there, including Geoffrey Chaucer, Charles Dickens, Rudyard Kipling and Thomas Hardy, as well as many memorial stones and busts dedicated to the likes of Shakespeare and loved Scottish poet Robert Burns. Kings and Queens Westminster Abbey has been the coronation church since 1066 and seventeen monarchs are buried there. The Abbey was also the place where William and Kate tied the knot in 2011.

Departure point: The old port in Fira The old port in Fira is accessible only: By cable car: It is perfectly safe, it consists of 6 wagons and has capacity of 6 persons per wagon. During high season (April-October) it runs every 20 minutes. Single tickets cost €5 for adults and €2.50 for children. On foot: You would need to walk down the famous 600 steps of the traditional road that connects the old port with the town of Fira. The descend takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on your physical condition. By donkey: The donkeys used to be the traditional transportation way of the island. They go up and down to the old port of Fira frequently. A single ride costs around €5 per person and takes about 20 minutes. Most people prefer to take the donkey on their way up.   

TOUR DETAILS This journey through Arizona’s history blends indigenous heritage with a rugged off-road ride. The Ancient Ruins and Diamondback Gulch Combo Tour is a remarkable adventure with both an exciting 4x4 trek and an up-close look at a time when the Sinagua people called this area home.  Your Certified Interpretive Guide will meet you at the Pink® Jeep® Tour Plaza in Sedona. You’ll climb aboard a custom-built, open-air Pink® Jeep® Wranglers and settle in for a true Arizona experience. Wear comfortable shoes, as there is a 30-40 minute walk to reach the Honanki Heritage site once you arrive at the Ancient Ruins site.  To start the tour, your local guide will take you past Sedona’s most iconic red-rock formations. After arriving in the Coconino National Forest, head down the remote Greasy Spoon trail. This section of an original wagon route between Sedona and Prescott dates back to a time before Arizona was a state. Continue on to Sidewinder Trail and see how the rocky terrain falls into Diamondback Gulch—a deep ravine that slices through the land. Hold on while your guide expertly navigates the steep descent and climbs out again.  Then it’s on to Ancient Ruin, where you’ll be immersed in the mystery of the Sinagua people. You’ll see primitive remnants where they lived and worked from 600 AD until the 1400s. Little is known about the Sinagua, but pictographs and petroglyphs offer a glimpse into their history.  Explore the Honanki Heritage site, a 700-year-old cliff dwelling where the Sinagua made their home. Learn how they farmed and hunted, their complicated trading system with other tribes—and how they suddenly vanished in the early 1400s. Although it’s still an active archeological site, enigmas surrounding the Sinagua have yet to be solved.  At the end of the tour you’ll journey back through the forest to Sedona, where Arizona’s rich history lives on. Great weather, fantastic water slides and reasonably priced menus you can buy from the cafes & restaurants make this a great family outing. There is, literally, something for everyone and the dolphin exhibitions (12:00 & 16:00 h) will be sure to amaze both young and old alike. Professional photographers are on hand and capture some great photographs that are displayed near the exit. You are not under any obligation to buy the photographs but the quality is so good you may find it hard to refuse! This year the rings are free so no need to hire your own. From the top of the attractions you will be able to see for miles and if you wish to leave the park to perhaps sit on the beach, which is just across the road from the park, you can get a pass out for 30 minutes. This truly is a wonderful holiday experience. Adrenalin seekers will love: Black Hole, Kamikaze, Splash, Boomerang and Hurricane and for a small extra cost you can really surf the waves on Surf Waimea, a new attraction unique to Aquopolis. For $6 you can enjoy up to one hour on this fantastic attraction. In the months of July and August, parts of the park will be open with a chill out zone, drinks, snacks,mini golf and mini pedal cars and Surf Waimea available.
