Day 1: Start your Melbourne immersion with the road trip everyone's talking about! Follow the historical Great Ocean Road, one of the world's most scenic coastal routes, as it winds along Victoria's southwest coast, passing long golden beaches, rugged sandstone cliffs and eucalypt-tree rainforest. At the Cape Otway Lighthouse, gaze out over the Southern Ocean and Bass Strait before tucking into a delicious Aussie style lunch. Hear the tragic tales of the Loch Ard Gorge and discover why this spectacularly wild part of Victoria is known as the Shipwreck Coast. The route also takes you among the soaring eucalypt trees of the Otway rain forest, and to the shipwreck coast where you will step down to the beach at Loch Ard Gorge and further along view the offshore sandstone stacks called the Twelve Apostles. Day 2: Next day, travel to Phillip Island to visit the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park for a hands-on wildlife experience. Learn about the park's conservation efforts, hand-feed a kangaroo, see wallabies and wombats, or have the opportunity to get a photo taken with a koala (*Fee Applies). Enjoy lunch near a billabong teeming with native water birds, and then head to the Churchill Island Heritage Farm to see sheep shearing and working dogs in action at the historic farm. Visit the nearby Koala Conservation Centre to glimpse these cuddly, eucalyptus-loving marsupials. Finally, arrive on Phillip Island, catching views of the Nobbies and Seal Rocks before finding a seat on the boardwalk at Summerland Beach. Every night at sunset, hundreds of little penguins swim in from a day of fishing and scurry across the shore to snuggle into their burrows. Soar above Christchurch and take in 360° views of the city, Canterbury Plains and even out to the Southern Alps - Rise above the city on your round-trip gondola ride - one of the top things to do in Christchurch - Enjoy the stunning panoramic views of Christchurch city and beyond from the top - Visit the gondola's other attractions such as the Time Tunnel which takes you into a volcano and to Christchurch's early settlements - Take a moment to take in the scenery at the Red Rock Cafe at the top. The Base station of the Gondola is nestled in Heathcote Valley where you will find plenty of parking for cars and coaches. The Summit Station – including the Time Tunnel, Shop and café – is at the top of Mt Cavendish. The Gondola trip up to the summit takes 10 minutes one way at normal speed. Each cable car stops at the summit and base to allow you to get on or off. The cableway spans 862 horizontal metres and the Gondola cabins are very stable and comfortable, offering spectacular 360° views.

You will set off from Edinburgh with views of the iconic Forth Rail Bridge as we cross the Firth of Forth entering into the ancient “Kingdom of Fife”. Here you can pause for a photo stop at the historic village of Aberdour, before continuing into the East Neuk of Fife.  You will then travel through the picturesque villages of St. Monans and Pittenween, once thriving fishing centres which were made prosperous by trade with the continent, before stopping in the town of Anstruther, home of the Scottish Fisheries Museum.  Leaving Anstruther, journey through Crail and then arrive in the beautiful medieval town of St. Andrews in time for lunch. Here you can enjoy a walk around the town which is famous as the home of golf and has the best known golf course in the world. It also has a pretty cathedral and castle, now both ruined, and is home to Scotland’s oldest university - where Prince William met Kate. You will have approximately three hours of free time to explore its medieval buildings and wonderful cobbled streets, as well as having time for lunch.  Heading homewards you will travel across the Lomond hills descending to Loch Leven Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun | ALL YEAR Departs: 09:00 Returns: 17:45
