Your next stop will be at the village of Prades and here you will have 1 hour 15 minutes to stroll around the village and take a break for lunch. You can bring your own packed lunch and have a picnic or you can buy a menu of 3 courses and a drink for just 12 euros, 2 euros less than the normal price. You will notice you are surrounded by the red colour of the sharp stones used to build the walls, the church and many of the houses. In the Plaza Mayor, you will see the Spherical renaissance fountain, where once a year it is filled with cava and the locals spend the day and night drinking from it. You can also see the Gothic Church of Santa Maria. Then onto another picturesque village, Siurana, where you will be taken back in time as you walk on the cobbled streets and pass the old stone houses. Here there is a small shop where you can but local produce, ice creams and postcards. There are spectacular views of the mountains and surrounding landscapes and you can look down to the lake of Siurana which will be your next stop. This really is one of the most beautiful villages you could hope to visit. Your last stop will be to the water for another dip or swim and a good chance to cool off. Then, after a great day out you will be taken back to your hotel and you will be given a present of a bottle of wine to take back with the rest of the lovely memories you will have. 

The Mountain Montserrat is a massive rock over 4000 feet high, visible for miles, with weird shapes and rounded peaks that jut into the sky; there are paths, stairs, caves, chapels and hermitages scattered over the mountain, extraordinary landscapes and wonderful views. No wonder the whole mountain is also a Natural Park The Monastery & Black Madonna The 1000 year old Benedictine monastery is perched half way up the mountain and sheltered by its peaks. There is a basilica with the Chapel of Our Lady of Montserrat known as La Moreneta, the patron saint of Catalonia, and a presence strongly felt and revered. The community of monks also runs a boys’ school devoted to the study of music. Leeds Castle Heading out to Leeds Castle, we pass through Greenwich, home of the famous 'Cutty Sark' tea clipper and the Royal Observatory, and cross over the Greenwich Meridian. Leeds Castle was described by Lord Conway as 'the loveliest castle in the world' and is set in the middle of a natural lake, surrounded by 500 acres of parkland and gardens. We will take you in before the doors open to the public, to experience its magic in an atmosphere of still tranquillity. There will also be time to explore the castle grounds where you will find the ' Lady Baillie Garden' with views over the lake, an aviary and maze. Canterbury Cathedral Travelling through Kent, the county known as the 'Garden of England', we make our way to Canterbury to visit the Cathedral. This magnificent Cathedral is the most important church within the worldwide Anglican faith. The central 'Bell Harry Tower' dates back to 1498, and the crypt to the 11th Century. It is here where your guide will tell the story of the shocking murder of Archbishop Thomas Beckett in 1170 and there will also be time to explore the narrow streets of Canterbury. There will be an opportunity for lunch in Canterbury. Dover We continue our tour through the picturesque landscape of Kent dotted with unusual buildings and quaint little villages to Dover, where you'll see the famous White Cliffs standing 400 feet above sea level. Brooding above the White Cliffs is the sprawling Dover Castle still watching over the town 800 years on. * Lunch not included in the tour price.

Leaving Glasgow you will head north-west through the rugged Highlands of Scotland until you reach Inveraray, a quaint town built in the mid-18th century on the shores of Loch Fyne. Here you can choose to visit Inveraray Castle* the historic home of the Duke of Argyll, chief of the Clan Campbell, nestled in large beautiful gardens overlooking Loch Fyne. Alternatively, explore the town’s white-washed Georgian houses, wide streets and breathtaking views across the loch.  Your route climbs further north into the Highlands through stunning scenery marked by several dramatic castles and beautiful lochs. You'll pause to admire Kilchurn Castle, one of Scotland’s most photographed castles, nestled on the banks of Loch Awe and beautifully framed by mountains.  Next you will make a stop for lunch in the picturesque harbour town of Oban, ‘Gateway to the Isles’, with free time to explore its horseshoe bay and see MacCaig’s Folly, an iconic 19th century tower reminiscent of the Colosseum in Rome.  After free time exploring, we travel onwards past the 15th century Castle Stalker, which is set on a small island on Loch Laich, before reaching Glencoe, one of Scotland’s most haunting glens and site of the 1692 massacre of the MacDonald clan.  The return journey will take you over the dramatic landscape of Rannoch Moor and the Black Mount before you make the final stop at the pretty conservation village of Luss on the ‘Bonnie, Bonnie Banks’ of Loch Lomond. Here you can feel free to walk along the shore or admire the village before returning to Glasgow.  *OPTIONAL EXTRA.
