You will enjoy a guided walking tour of the city center, visiting the Cathedral, with its well-preserved medieval streets that lead you towards the famous pastel colored houses at the edge of the river bank. The old city center of Girona holds an important artistic heritage. You will be given some free time in Girona to enjoy the city by yourself.

Discover the last resting place of the Kings of France and its unique collection of 70 sculpted tombs. Tour of the Basilica of St Denis Here you'll be able to see the grave of Saint Denis, a Bishop of Paris who died in 250 AD, the royal abbey of Saint-Denis, the burial place of 43 kings, 32 queens and 10 servants of the monarchy. During this visit you'll also be able to see the basilica which was raised to the rank of cathedral in 1966. Enter the Museum of sculptures, featuring over 70 recumbent statues and monumental tombs from the Renaissance, see how the basilica contains within its walls the largest collection of funerary sculptures from the 12th to the 16th century. The birth of Gothic art, the church designed by Abbot Suger, the kings' advisor from 1135 to 1144, completed in the 13th century during the reign of Saint Louis: a major work of Gothic art, this church was the first place of great importance of light and symbol of divinity in religious architecture.

A 70 km de Madrid se encuentra Toledo “Ciudad Patrimonio de la Humanidad”, ciudad-museo de gran belleza artística y una de las más antiguas de Europa, denominada “Ciudad de las Tres Culturas”, ya que aquí convivieron cristianos, musulmanes y judíos. Sus edificios abarcan prácticamente todos los períodos de la historia (árabe, gótico, mudéjar, renacentista y barroco). Aquí residió El Greco, gran pintor del siglo XVI, del que en 2014 se cumplió el cuarto centenario de su muerte. Una vez en Toledo comenzarán el tour visitando el exterior de la Catedral, poco después se dirigirán al interior del Sto. Tomé la iglesia con "El entierro del señor de Orgaz", obra maestra de El Greco, luego visitarán el interior de la Sinagoga de Santa María la Blanca y finalmente el interior del increíble monasterio de San Juan de los Reyes. Una vez finalizadas estas visitas, se ofrece una demostración de la famosa técnica del damasceno* (incrustación de metales preciosos en acero), forja de espadas; una vez finalizada la demostración, tendrá tiempo libre para comprar algo si lo desea. El tour finaliza con una visita panorámica de Toledo y una parada en un mirador con impresionantes vistas de la ciudad para tomar las mejores fotografías de Toledo. Departing Edinburgh, you travel north-west for your first stop of the day at magnificent Stirling Castle*, one of Scotland’s most historically significant castles, sitting high on volcanic rock and offering wonderful views of the surrounding landscape. You will have time to visit the castle and learn of the exploits of key historic figures including William Wallace, Robert the Bruce and Mary Queen of Scots. With lots of interesting things to see and do here, the Stirling Castle experience is a must for any visitor to Scotland.  You then continue on, past medieval Doune Castle, to the pretty town of Callander, situated on the banks of the River Teith in Stirlingshire, where you will have a chance to stop to enjoy some lunch. From here we enter The Trossachs National Park, also known as “The Highlands in miniature” for its abundance of lochs, mountains and forests, and famous as the homeland of legendary outlaw, Rob Roy MacGregor.  You will then reach the bonnie banks of Loch Lomond, one of the prettiest and largest lochs in the whole of Scotland. Here you can enjoy an hour long cruise* taking in spectacular views of the loch’s many islands and the surrounding mountains. Alternatively, take a stroll through the picturesque loch-side conservation village of Luss, with its quaint houses, cafes and stunning views across the loch’s western shoreline.
