Realise the adrenaline of flight. In the Indoor vertical wind tunnel you will balance mid-air using leading technology and without the need for parachutes or planes. In the aircraft hangar pre-flight you’ll learn all the body positions and hand signals you need for freefall and your expert instructor will fly with you in the tunnel. No swimming experience required but if you are an expert there will be still be a challenge for you. Each dive will generate a donation to the Shark trust.   What do you need to take part? Bring your own swimming costume and towel. Showers and lockers are available. Basecamp + HIGH ROPES Take courage on the most extreme high ropes action in Europe. Zip slide from the Chinook helicopter then choose your route. Use swing strength and balance to navigate high above the ground. Once you’re in there’s no looking back - and only the brave look down. Inspired by the famous military Tarzan course, there are 36 different challenges over 5 storeys on the confidence high ropes course. Zig zag across rolling beams, climb ladder bridges and cross snake steps over 20 metres above the ground. Buckle up for the most thrilling challenge.   What does High Ropes challenge (with Adventure Basecamp) include? 60 minutes on the 5 storey High Ropes confidence course including a heli-zip wire from The Bear Grylls Adventure Chinook helicopter. Expert instruction and briefing - No previous experience needed but if you are an expert there will be still be a challenge for you. All safety equipment including harnesses and helmets. The High Ropes experience is an outdoor course so you will need warm clothes and gloves if you visit during colder months and times of day. There are lockers on site and there will be some items in the retail shop if the weather changes suddenly. The high ropes course will not close in rain - if it ain’t raining, it ain’t training! Only in extreme weather conditions such as high wind or lightning, in which case your ticket will be exchanged for one of the indoor activities or re-book for another day of your choice. Refuel and Rehydrate Fuel up at The Canteen, The Bear Grylls Adventure onsite restaurant, when you need a bit of recharging after all the amazing activities! Restrictions Due to the nature of the activities, women who are pregnant will not be able to take part in the Adventure Basecamp. Shipbuilding Through the Ages This new family-orientated exhibition will use hands-on and computerised interactive displays and engaging film and footage to demonstrate techniques of shipbuilding, from the ‘age of sail’ to modern prefabrication methods. The exhibition will focus on the science, engineering and social history of shipbuilding in Great Britain, and the interactive elements of the exhibition will allow children of all ages to get involved and experience this history. History of HMS Belfast The term 'cruiser' goes back to the days of sailing ships when large frigates could be detached from the main fleet to cruise independently. The sailing cruiser, like her twentieth-century counterpart, was sufficiently powerful and fast to attack and destroy enemy commerce raiders. During the nineteenth century when sail gave way to steam and wooden ships were replaced by those built of iron, and later of steel, the cruiser evolved into a powerful warship which was used to patrol the Empire trade routes and protect friendly merchant shipping. After the First World War (1914-1918) a single category of cruiser emerged whose size was indicated by the size of its guns; thus, HMS Belfast is a 6-inch cruiser, designed for the protection of trade, for offensive action, and as a powerful support for amphibious operations. Stepping off the tracks, visitors enter the basement of a haunted mansion. Proceeding from the basement through the house, the fun continues with moving eyes in portraits, scuttling rats, the sound of ghosts and morphing of portraits. Having survived the paranormal, the guest now arrives at Ghostbusters Headquarters. This is the guests’ first encounter with the figures. One welcomes them to the space while another is seen working on a proton pack at one of the booths. There is no time limit as to how long guests can stay on the observation decks during operating hours. The average length of stay is about 45 minutes to an hour. Top of the Rock is a three level observation deck that consists of the 67th, 69th, and 70th floors of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Total surface area of all the decks together is approximately 55,000 square-feet (5,110 m2). The upper deck is 850 feet (260 m) above street level. Are there restrooms located at Top of the Rock? Yes, restrooms can be accessed once inside the attraction. Can I visit the mezzanine level exhibit after I visit the observation decks? Due to crowd flow purposes, the pre-show exhibit can only be viewed before visiting the observation decks. Is there an outdoor viewing area? The 67th and 69th floors include outdoor terraces which feature fully transparent, safety glass. Some varieties of flowers can only be found in this region. Navigate the rocky surface as you explore the Burren’s landscape. After we’ve strolled around the Burren, we will visit the historic vibrant city of Galway.
