Red and White Fleet - Golden Gate Bay Cruise Departing in the heart of Historic Fisherman’s Wharf, at Pier 43 ½, sail past the San Francisco skyline and view the lively neighborhood of North Beach, the famous swimming clubs of Aquatic Park, the historic vessels at Hyde Street Pier, the San Francisco Maritime National Park, and numerous other exciting sights. As you head west towards the Golden Gate Bridge, cruise along Fort Mason and the Marina District which was devastated in the 1989 earthquake. Next, enjoy views of Crissy Field and the lush hillsides of the Presidio—both former army installations—that are now part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. Join in the movie making magic yourself by riding the Nimbus 2000 or Firebolt brooms seen in the Harry Potter film series or ride the Bat-pod through the streets of Gotham in our green screen experience just like the actors do while filming. We’ll also reveal the secrets behind the visual effect known as ‘motion capture.’ You’ll also see how green screen technology was used to create the celestial, deep space visuals in Gravity and the thrilling fight sequences in The Matrix. Our post-production soundstage includes a fully equipped, state-of-the-art recording studio. LEGACY ROOM The Warner Bros. Legacy Room is a striking visual testament to the passion, creativity and determination of the studio’s four founding brothers—Albert, Jack, Sam and Harry Warner. Along with a towering collection of awards the studio has earned, the room features many iconic costumes and props from some of the biggest movies and television shows in entertainment history. There are no hotel pickups for the Hop-On-Hop-Off Tours. However, all Hop-On Hop-Off routes pass within 5 blocks of nearly every major downtown tourist hotel as well as in various locations at Fisherman’s Wharf.
