Tiefes Purpurrot mit violetten Reflexen. Das Bouquet ist fruchtig und würzig, mit Noten von schwarzen Kirschen, Brombeeren, Heidelbeeren und Cassis. Die fruchtigen Aromen werden ergänzt durch einen Hauch von schwarzem Pfeffer und Lakritze, und auch etwas gerösteter Paprika mit einigen Spuren von Estragon. Am Gaumen zeigt er sich sehr zart mit weichen Tanninen, intensiver Frucht und einer lebendigen Säure. Der Wein hat ein bemerkenswertes Volumen, ist harmonisch und langanhaltend mit einem guten Reifepotential. Passt zu: gebratenem oder gegrilltem Rindfleisch, Pasta und natürlich zu mittelkräftigem Käse, z.B. gereiftem Gouda.
