INTERNAL POLYSTYRENE protective lining, available in three sizes (S, M and L). The special shape and construction in different density increases mechanical resistance in the event of accidental shock. Inner channels studied in the wind tunnel guarantee a perfect ventilation.
The D-RING RETENTION SYSTEM has been designed and patented by Suomy. Insert the free side of the strap in the rings. Pull the end until the strap presses firmly against the jaw. After this operation, it should not be possible to remove the helmet. Verify that by grabbing it from the back and rotating it to the front it cannot be removed and it is fixed to the head. If the helmet tends to come off or rotates freely, tighten the strap again until the right pressure is obtained and repeat test. If after repeating the test you are not able to efficiently tighten the retention system, do not use the helmet. Only after checking the correct tension of the strap, fix the free end locking it with the automatic stud to the release tab. The automatic stud is necessary only to fix the free end of the strap to prevent it from flapping while riding. Fixing the release button does not assure that the helmet is correctly in position and properly fastened: the correct locking of the strap must be verified exclusively following the above paragraphs. To release the retention system, release the automatic stud button and pull the release tab to loosen the closure. Slide out the free end of the strap from the «D Rings». Use the release tab only to remove the helmet! Never release this tab while riding.

The SHELL is in polystyrene with channels for air flows. In the front part there are upper and back air ventilations, which help the internal helmet ventilation. On the CHIN GUARD there is an air ventilation for the front ventilation.
The OUTER SHELL has ribs to channel better the air flows. The PEAK has an aereodynamic impact. The wide open space in the front allows the use of any kind of glasses.

Compared to the previous diffusers, the efficiency of the intake scoops of the new diffusers has increased by 19%. The new air intake vents not only have more adjustability with three positions, closed, half open and fully open but also help to improve sealing that decreases wind noise and water intrusion. Shell Construction: PB-SNC2 Peripherally Belted Structural Net Composite Arai´s proprietary (super fibre belt) Peripheral Belt, borrowed from our F-1 technology, maximizes shell strength and flexibility while maintaining low weight. Positioned across the top of the eye port, this band allows the use of a thinner EPS liner which greatly enhances the upward field of view – especially appreciated in a full racing tuck! The Structural Net Composite adds a physical bond to the resin bond of the many layers of fibres and reinforcing materials within the shell. Variable Axis System (VAS) With VAS, the visor mounting position is lowered, yielding an average of an additional 24mm across both temple areas, in pursuit of the ideal smoother shape that increases the ability of glancing off energy. As a result, this has made it possible for more of the shell to be smoother along and above the test line of the Snell standard. Ventilation: Free Flow System (FFS) Creates airflow under the helmet that reduces wind noise and turbulence while increasing the exhaust of hot air. Ventilation: Eyeport Airchannel Enhanced air exhaust from the eye port area, pulled through dedicated air channel to side ducts, improving efficiency and reducing noise. Front Ventilation: Center top vent The new Top Vent provides 11% more airflow than the previous Vent. The new bigger switch makes opening and closing easier. The new Top Vent has three positions, closed, half open and fully open to adjust the airflow and prevent water intrusion when fully closed. Front Ventilation: Diffuser system The new diffusers are 20mm longer and straightened for improved aerodynamics, working together with the Air Wing to improve stability. Front Ventilation: Brow vents extended to temple area Fresh air can enter directly to the forehead area without the need for holes in this critical area of the shell and impact absorbing liner. Increases the ventilation effect at the lower part of the helmet. Rear Ventilation: Side exhausts Produce low pressure behind the rear vent for better hot air extraction. Inside, a small foam dam helps to absorb and diminish excessive noise, without reducing ventilation performance. Aerodynamics: Pull Down Chin Spoiler Helps minimize wind noise and also aids with the extraction of hot air from the face area. Provides additional deflection of road debris away from neck. Depending on the model the Chin Spoiler is retractable. Aerodynamics: Patented Air Wing® adjustable MotoGP tested and designed to greatly reduce drag, turbulence and buffeting resulting in more comfort and additional top-speed. Approval: SNELL M2010/2015 The American SNELL Memorial Foundation is an independent organisation, SNELL M2010 is their latest new, more shock-absorbent standard. For the M2010 standard a steel ball shaped rather like a tennis ball anvil is used, they also test with flat and “kerb” shaped anvils). The impact test area of SNELL is larger than that of ECE. Multiple impacts and a penetration test on random spots are used.
