Der Luftfederungskompressor saugt Außenluft an verdichtet und trocknet diese. Danach wird die trockene Druckluft den Federbeinen mit Hilfe des Kompressor-Ventils zur Verfügung gestellt. Dabei verteilt das Doppelventil die Druckluft situationsbedingt und sensorgesteuert an die Luftfedern. Als Ergebnis erhalten wir hervorragendes Brems- und Fahrverhalten, außerordentliche Fahrzeugstabilität und Sicherheit während der Fahrt. Dies macht sich besonders bei hoher Zuladung oder im Anhängerbetrieb bemerkbar. Es verfügt über 2 elektrisch gesteuerte Magnetventile die 3 Druckluftanschlüsse und 2 Stellungen haben. Die 4 mm dicke Druckluftzuleitung führt die Druckluft vom Kompressor zum Kompressor-Ventil. Beide 4 mm weiten Ausgangsdruckluftanschlüsse verteilen die Druckluft an die linke oder rechte Luftfeder der Hinterachse. Die Anschlüsse können nicht verwechselt werden, denn sie sind farblich gekennzeichnet. Der rote Anschluss versorgt die linke Luftfeder, der blaue Anschluss die rechte Luftfeder. Sind die Magnetventile unter Strom gesetzt, öffnen sie sich und lassen Druckluft hindurch. Sind sie dagegen stromlos, sperren die Magnetventile und verhindern so den Zufluss von Druckluft in die jeweiligen Luftfedern.
