Athlone Castle has a striking presence in the heart of the Co. Westmeath town which resonates with the 800 years of history it encompasses. It was owned at times by either the Dillons or by the O'Kellys, two rival families. It was also residence of the lord presidents of Connacht in the 16th and 17th centuries, the Jacobite central defence during the seiges of Athlone in the 1690s. It was a military barracks for almost 300 years. In 1967, the Old Athlone Society set up a museum in the castle and two years later it became a public monument.  The castle and visitor centre was reopened in November 2012 following extensive refurishments. There are now eight galleries chronicling the history of the town, the castle and the people of Athlone. Test replica weapons, try interactive games and take photographs dressed in period costumes! Se permiten bañadores, bikinis, burkinis y pañales para el agua.   Consejo: intente visitar Jumeirah Sceirah al comienzo del día, por la noche acostumbra a estar lleno.

It provides a fun & exciting opportunity for youngsters & is an excellent stepping-stone towards discovering the underwater world & building confidence. You don’t have to worry about the weather either as the pool at Bellaluz is heated so we can dive rain or shine! Once children have finished their first experience in scuba diving they receive a certificate. Before children can follow a full instructional course & become certified divers they have to be 12 years old in this part of Spain. Videos and photos of their special day can be purchased on the day for 30 euros (optional)

Rules Swimsuit must be worn (swimsuit or bikini). Please be quiet when in the bath areas. Long hair must be tied up. It is not necessary to use a swimming cap. Wearing one’s own shoes is permitted in the dressing rooms only. We are not responsible for items lost / forgotten. Not allowed animals and food.   Please note Required to have a shower before going to the baths One towel is provided per customer. Shampoo, gel, hairdryer, moisturizing cream, and lockers for storing personal items are available in the dressing rooms. The customer may decide how long he/she spends at each point of the itinerary. With exception to the dressing rooms, the baths are mixed. In the event that a massage is booked and the customer comes with a companion, we cannot guarantee that they can receive this at the same time. The masseur shall always remain on duty inside the bath even if booked by a private group. Children aged 5 or younger are not permitted and parents or guardians of children aged between 5 and 12 must sign a disclaimer form.
