Buckingham Palace serves as both the office and London residence of Her Majesty The Queen, as well as the administrative headquarters of the Royal Household. It is one of the few working royal palaces remaining in the world today. Today the Buckingham Palace State Rooms are used extensively by Her Majesty The Queen and Members of the Royal Family to receive and entertain their guests on State, ceremonial and official occasions. During August and September when The Queen makes her annual visit to Scotland, the Palace's nineteen state rooms are open to visitors. What there is to see? The Buckingham Palace State Rooms form the heart of the working palace and are lavishly furnished with some of the greatest treasures from the Royal Collection - paintings by Rembrandt, Rubens, Poussin and Canaletto; sculpture by Canova; exquisite examples of Sèvres porcelain; and some of the finest English and French furniture. In celebration of The Queen's 90th birthday, a special exhibition will be staged across each of Her Majesty's official residences during 2016. Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from The Queen's Wardrobe (23 July – 2 October 2016) The Garden Described as a 'walled oasis in the middle of London', the Palace's garden is home to thirty different species of bird and more than 350 different wild flowers, some extremely rare. Visitors end their tour with a walk along the south side of the garden, with splendid views of the west front of the Palace and the famous lake. Changing of the Guard The Changing of the Guard ceremony takes place at 11:30 daily from April until the end of July and on alternate days for the rest of the year, weather permitting. The new guards arrive at the forecourt of the Palace at 11:30 from Wellington Barracks. The journey takes about 5 minutes and the soldiers are accompanied by a band. The ceremony is conducted on the Palace forecourt and takes approximately forty minutes to complete. A new collection of dress from the collections of HM Queen Elizabeth II, Princess Margaret and Diana Princess of Wales represents the story of the monarchy in the 20th century featuring rare and exquisite dresses from The Queen, Princesses Margaret and Diana, Princess of Wales. Discover how the royal figures and fashions were representative of the spirit of each decade. Naturschutz ist uns tatsächlich extrem wichtig  und jedes Jahr züchten wir  über eintausend Papageien. Sie werden auch erstaunt und erfreut sein über den Einfallsreichtum  und das Talent unserer humorvollen und unterhaltsamen  Papageien, die im Loro Parque sogar in ihrer eigenen Show die Hauptrolle spielen.  Es war die erste Show die im Loro Parque das Licht der Welt erblickte. Erfreuen Sie sich am majestätischen Flug  dieser  Papageien  aus nächster Nähe.  Villa Gorilla Kein großes Tierparkabenteuer wäre vollkommen ohne einen Besuch bei  unserer prachtvollen männlichen Gorillafamilie. Unsere weiten Sichtfenster lassen Sie so nahe an ihr Naturwaldumfeld,  dass  Sie meinen fast das Gras berühren zu können. Bei einer solchen Aussicht fällt es schwer, sich von diesen Kerlen fortzureißen. Kinderlandia Der wildeste Ort im Loro Parque ist unser Afrikanischer  Abenteuerspielplatz! Es gibt, unter Sicherheitsbeachtung  entworfene, Rutschen und Klettergerüste für all unsere jungen Entdecker , die nur darauf warten entdeckt zu werden. Dieser Bereich ist auch der Ort der ersten Achterbahn der Kanaren - der Orca Zug. Bestaunen Sie die Quallenausstellung mit Hunderten dieser Tiere aus aller Welt, die in allen Farben strahlen und fluoreszieren. Es gibt Tiere aus den kältesten Meeren des Planeten,  als auch aus den wärmsten Gewässern der Tropen und natürlich aus dem Meer, das die Kanarische Inselgruppe umgibt . Im Loro Parque können Sie Delphine beobachten, die direkt vor Ihren Augen spielen, und die Orcas mit ihren Spitzenleistungen sehen. Das sind nur zwei der beliebtesten Attraktionen im Park, und dann gibt es die Pinguine die auf einem der größten Eisberge außerhalb des Polargebiets ihr Zuhause gefunden haben!  Mit mehreren Shows am Tag können Sie sicher sein alle zu erleben. Der Park ist berühmt für seine vielen Papageien an denen Sie sich erfreuen können während Sie durch den Park laufen, aber es ist auch ein Schutzgebiet für eine große  Auswahl  von gefährdeten Tierarten aus aller Welt. Loro Parque hat einen exzellenten Ruf für seine Art sich um die Tiere zu kümmern und wird als der drittbeste Tierpark der Welt angesehen und sicher als Spitzenreiter der Europäischen Tierparks. Loro Parque nimmt zwei junge Gorillas zur Junggesellengruppe auf. Little Kiburi und Ubongo schliessen sich den anderen  fünf Männchen des EEP Programms an, das diese ernsthaft gefährdeten Arten schützt.  Loro Parque feiert die Ankunft von zwei  jungen Gorillamännchen aus dem Hannover Abenteuerzoo in Deutschland. Little Kiburi (10) und Ubongo (7) werden in die Gruppe von fünf Western Lowland Gorillamännchen eingegliedert , geboren in verschiedenen Europäischen Zoos. Die Gorillas leben im Loro Parque nach dem European Programme for Threatened Species (EEP) das diese ernsthaft gefährdeten Arten schützt. Diese jungen Gorillas  gewöhnen sich jetzt an ihr neues Zuhause, wo sie in einem Freigehege Teneriffas Sonne genießen, neben der Zone wo sich der Rest der Gruppe aufhält. So können sie sich an ihre neue Umgebung und die Laute und Gerüche ihrer neuen Begleiter gewöhnen. Nach den Anweisungen von Francisco Prieto,  dem Leiter der Säugetiere, wird sich die Gruppe nach dieser Eingewöhnung  das gesamte  Gelände teilen, mit über 3.500 m² üppiger  Vegetation, Wasserfällen und Verstecken für ihre langen Siestas.

Big Croc Feed Show Starting with the Bite Force demonstration, witness the force behind the jaws of a crocodile as the purpose built machine makes a meal out of a solid block of ice! Go on to be introduced to some of the World’s largest Saltwater Crocodiles and be educated on their amazing ability to survive, their feeding habits and how they have remained relatively unchanged for over 200 million years. Get to know some of the famous inhabitants such as Burt, the star of movie, Crocodile Dundee. Don’t forget to say hello to the resident couple, William & Kate, while Chopper has the scars of battle to prove his reputation as one of the most feared Saltwater crocs in the Northern Territory. Show Times 11.30, 14.30 Reptile House Crocosaurus Cove presents the World’s largest display of Australian Reptiles, with over 70 species of reptiles on display in your reptile enclosure. Most reptiles on display are from the Northern Territory’s Top End and Kimberley region, however be sure to check out our new Desert region which is home to a range of species found in Australia’s Red Centre. A reptile can be described as a vertebrate (ie has a backbone) that derives it’s body temperature from an external source, such as the sun. It’s body is covered in skin from which grow scales. Some scales are very difficult to see as found on geckos, while other reptiles have modified scales that create a suit of armour or plating as seen in turtles. Get up close to some of these amazing critters in our Meet the Reptile show & learn more about what they like for lunch during our Reptile Feeding show. The Reptile Team are always on hand to assist with questions so don’t be shy! Open All Day Fishing for Crocs Want to get up close to energetic juvenile crocodiles? You can, on the Fishing for Crocs platform. Surround yourself with almost 100 juvenile (2-3 year old) saltwater crocodiles that are hungry for the juicy snack that is being dangled at the end of your fishing line. See how these crocodiles hunt in the wild by bringing their entire body length out of the water to catch prey such as bats and birds. Great fun for the entire family & a photo opportunity not to be missed. Be sure to experience this great activity after the Big Croc Feed Shows. The World of Crocs has 14 different Crocodilian wax replicas, all in air-conditioned comfort, on display. Check out the model examples of Australia’s Saltwater & Freshwater Crocodiles as well as interesting & unusual species such as the Indian Garhial and the Dwarf Crocodile! While checking out the crocodile replicas, don’t forget to see the real thing and hold a baby croc! Open All Day Hold a Baby Croc Aren’t they cute! Here’s your chance to hold a baby croc. Check out their scales & webbed feet, and marvel at these amazing prehistoric creatures. Species such as Red & Yellow Face Turtles, Snapping Turtles and the gorgeous Pig Nosed Turtles are all found in the Top End’s river systems. How many species will you be able to find? Show Times 13.30 Freshwater Aquarium Check out the amazing 200,000 litre freshwater aquarium. Modeled on a typical river system in the Top End, the aquarium is home to many different fish species. The Whipray is the freshwater cousin to the Stingray – see these amazing creatures glide through the water and learn more about them at our daily aquarium feeding show. No Top End attraction would be complete without the famous Barramundi! One of the most famous inhabitants alongside the Saltwater Crocodile in the rivers in Australia’s Top End.
