Am Gaumen verfügt er über eine präsente Säure und feines, harmonisch eingebundenesTannin. Die Frucht ist sehr ansprechend und verleiht dem Wein schon in der Jugend grossen Glanz, der aber von der Lagerung profitieren wird. Passt zu: Wildgeflügel- und Lammgerichten und herzhaften Käse.
