Rubinrote Farbe, glänzend. Das Bouquet ist wunderbar fruchtig, mit saftigen Kirschen, roten Johannisbeeren, bitterer Schokolade, Tabaknoten und feiner Würze. Am Gaumen ist er sehr harmonisch, frisch und sehr komplex. Die Tanninstruktur ist sehr gut definiert, reif und geschmeidig. Passt zu: würzigen Schmorbraten, gegrilltem Lammfleisch, Wildgeflügel sowie zu pikanten Käsesorten.

Rubinrot im Glas. Tiefgründige Nase mit dunklen Beeren und blumigen Noten, dazu gesellen sich Rauch- und Würznoten. Der aus der nur noch begrenzt angebauten Tintilla-de-Rota-Traube erzeugte Tinto zeigt sich am Gaumen konzentriert und saftig: Intensive Aromen von schwarzen Himbeeren, Bitterkirsche und Gewürzkuchen sowie ein Hauch von Blutorange bestimmen den Geschmackseindruck. Ausgesprochen eleganter und beeindruckender Wein mit seidigen Tanninen aus der Einzellage Pago Balbaina, der sich insgesamt eher etwas mineralisch und kühler gibt als sein kleiner Bruder. Passt zu: gegrilltem Fleisch, gereiftem Käse und herzhaften Eintöpfen.
