Mit seinem tiefen Purpurrot mit rotvioletten Glanzlichtern verzaubert der Wein die Nase mit einem verführerischen Bouquet von saftig-süss gereiften Kirschen, roten und schwarzen Beeren, unterlegt mit warmen Gewürznoten und feinen Anklängen von Holz. Am Gaumen erscheint der Wein kraftvoll, rund und vollmundig, strukturiert, mit gutem Körper und griffigem Tannin, dabei zugleich weich und aromatisch ausgewogen, elegant und lang mit einem Hauch von Eichenholz im Finale. Passt zu gegrilltem und gebratenem Fleisch, frischer Pasta mit geschmorten Pilzen, Auberginen-Tomaten-Gemüse, Hackbraten mit Rosmarin, aber auch zu Gerichten der nordafrikanischen Küche Tajine, Couscous und zu pikant gereiftem Käse.
