This Forge classic Backplate Handle has a straight lever design. The sprung handle has a lasting finish and is lacquered to prevent discolouration during use. They are ideal for internal or external use as the handles have been tested for corrosion resistance and cycle tested beyond 120,000 uses. Supplied with screws and fitting instructions. Fitting Instructions:1. Place the spindle bar through an existing tubular latch or lock and position one handle over the spindle bar. Ensuring the handle is square, mark the screw hole positions with a bradawl.2. Drill Ø2mm Pilot holes and reposition the handle before securing using the wood screws provided.3. If fitting Bathroom handles, now insert the bathroom spindle bar through the deadbolt hole of the lock from the outside of the door and place the thumbturn onto the spindle bar. Tighten the grubscrew on the underside with the hex key provided.Designed to be used with any tubular mortice latch, a privacy lock is built into the handle for use in WC's or Bathrooms where no mortice lock is fitted. The exterior handle has a lock over-ride which can be opened with a coin or screwdriver. Backplate size: 102 x 39mm.Finish: Chrome.
The Union 3K74 series British standard 5 Lever Mortice rollerbolt sashlocks are suitable for use on timber doors hinged on the left or right and are also suitable for use on doors up to 50mm thick. The lock has a deadbolt operation and is locked or unlocked by key from either side with the latch bolt being withdrawn by a lever handle from either side. It has force resistant, anti drill, anti-pick and anti-saw security features and is available with square forend and striking plate with a 14mm bolt throw.
