We put the wild in Wild Florida at our Gator and Wildlife Park. Get up close and personal with more than 200 animals in the Middle of Nowhere! Take your time exploring the interesting habitats and heritage of our animals. Talk to our experts about what it’s like to care for these amazing animals and how our population of lemurs, zebra, watusi, bobcat, sloth, and other exotic animals has grown over the past year. There’s something for every member of your family at our Gator and Wildlife Park. Kids will love feeding and learning more about baby animals in our Petting Zoo. Moms and Dads can rest easy knowing that there is a covered playground for kids to run around when they need to let off some energy. Grandma, Grandpa, and the whole extended family will love exploring our Hawk Swamp where owls often roost in the coolness of the cypress tree-canopied boardwalk. Admission to the Gator and Wildlife Park is free with the purchase of an Airboat Tour, but the Gator and Wildlife Park admission can be purchased separately if you want to spend as much time as you can exploring the animals up close. A visit to Florida would not be complete without a #GatorHug! You can see and hold one of our gators during our Gator Handling Show. We also offer interactive programs ranging from becoming an animal keeper for a day to taking a #slothie (a selfie with a sloth, of course!). Last year over 1,000,000 visitors hiked Diamond Head making it Oahu’s 3rd largest visitor attraction. Diamond Head State Monument is one of Hawaii’s most recognized landmarks and for decades, visitors have hiked to the summit of Diamond Head to enjoy the breathtaking views of Oahu. Diamond Head State Monument is maintained by Hawaii’s State Parks and is a popular historic trail that offers a memorable Hawaiian adventure for the entire family. The Diamond Head hike takes about 2 hours; is considered a “moderate” 1.6 mile hike, with 327 concrete and metal stairs to conquer. Athlone Castle has a striking presence in the heart of the Co. Westmeath town which resonates with the 800 years of history it encompasses. It was owned at times by either the Dillons or by the O'Kellys, two rival families. It was also residence of the lord presidents of Connacht in the 16th and 17th centuries, the Jacobite central defence during the seiges of Athlone in the 1690s. It was a military barracks for almost 300 years. In 1967, the Old Athlone Society set up a museum in the castle and two years later it became a public monument.  The castle and visitor centre was reopened in November 2012 following extensive refurishments. There are now eight galleries chronicling the history of the town, the castle and the people of Athlone. Test replica weapons, try interactive games and take photographs dressed in period costumes!
