Norcal Coastal Tour Our deluxe 60-minute flight begins with our take off from our seaplane base in the lovely bayside village of Sausalito just across the Golden Gate Bridge. We then traverse lovely Marin County on our way out over Tomales Bay where Sir Francis Drake himself likely landed over a century ago. Then on to the Pt. Reyes National Seashore, looking for frolicing porpoise and whales along the way until we round the breathtakingly scenic Pt. Reyes Lighthouse. Then we will continue along the incredible Northern Californian coastline above Highway One and finally back over the legendary Golden Gate Bridge herself! Then on above Crissy Field, Downtown San Francisco, AT&T Park - Home of the Major League Baseball World Champion San Francisco Giants, then on over the infamous island prison of Alcatraz. Finally your flight will be completed with a pass by the historic Angel Island - the Immigrant Gateway to the West and a smooth landing back in Sausalito’s Richardson Bay. Even if you haven't ridden a bike for many years, downhill cycling is easy to do, as it is downhill all the way and a nice smooth ride at your own pace. Just a couple of tiny uphill bits, but very manageable. With stops for photo opportunities and a visits to tiny villages, on with stop for lunch at the 'Cannibals' restaurant [ optional extra]. You can take a packed lunch or picnic with you if you prefer and belongings can be left in the van. You will have British guides with a wealth of knowledge they are happy to share with you on you adventure day out with Downhill Bikes and they have some amusing tales to tell you too. The tour starts at the Turia gardens, a beautifully landscaped park built on the dried-up river that used to wind its way through the city. Pedal past the main monuments of this sophisticated city, including its splendid and rather unique-looking cathedral, which while mainly Gothic with early Romanesque influences also has Renaissance, baroque and neo-classical features.  See the imposing Torres de Quart, the bustling Central Market and the buzzing Carme district, heading for Valencia’s newest landmark, the ultra-modern City of the Arts and Sciences.
