Primitivo ist eine autochthone Rebsorte aus Italien, die vorwiegend in Apulien, speziell im Salento-Gebiet angebaut wird. Darüber hinaus hat sie an Bekanntheit unter den Namen Zinfandel gewonnen. Der Name Primitivo stammt wegen der frühen Reife der Trauben von primo der erste ab. Dunkles Rubinrot mit violetten Reflexen, intensive Aromen von schwarzen Beerenfrüchten, delikate Röstaromen, feinwürzig, gut strukturiert, wunderbar ausgewogen und ansprechend. Ein unkomplizierter Genuss der Spass macht. Passt zu: würzigen italienischen Fleisch- und Pastagerichten, Wildgerichten mit Pilzen sowie reifem Käse.
