Der bioptische Scanner Magellan™ 8400 ist ein hochleistungsfähiges fünfseitiges POS-Lesegerät. Durch seine ausgezeichneten Erstleseraten erhöht er die Effizienz betrieblicher Abläufe. Er kann als reiner Scanner, mithilfe der exklusiven, patentierten All-Weights®-Wägeplatte von Datalogic aber auch als Scannerwaage konfiguriert werden. Dadurch wird ein präzises Wiegen von Gemüse, Obst und anderen losen Lebensmitteln an der Kasse möglich. Stabmontierte Waagenanzeigen sind entweder als Einzel- oder Zweifachanzeige erhältlich. Letztere eignet sich für Anwendungen, die separate Displays für das Kassenpersonal und den Kunden erfordern. Die Modelle der Magellan™ 8400-Serie gibt es in drei Längen: lang, mittel und kurz (nur Scanner). Dies ermöglicht unterschiedliche POS-Konfigurationen. Dank eines Flash-Speichers kann die Software leicht aktualisiert werden, was die Nutzungsdauer des Scanners verlängert.
