The Lakes Golf Course at Lumine (formerly PortAventura Golf) winds round the Sèquia Major wetlands area, classified as a space of Natural Interest. Designed by Greg Norman, this Par 71 course provides distance with its 6,300 M of fairways. Newseum Blends High-Tech With Historical The Newseum — a 250,000-square-foot museum of news — offers visitors an experience that blends five centuries of news history with up-to-the-second technology and hands-on exhibits. The Newseum is located at the intersection of Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street, N.W., Washington, D.C., on America’s Main Street between the White House and the U.S. Capitol and adjacent to the Smithsonian museums on the National Mall. The exterior’s unique architectural features include a 74-foot-high marble engraving of the First Amendment and an immense front wall of glass through which passers-by can watch the museum fulfil its mission of educating the public about the value of a free press in a free society and telling the stories of the world's important events in unique and engaging ways. The Newseum features seven levels of galleries, theaters, retail spaces and visitor services. Departure point: The old port in Fira The old port in Fira is accessible only: By cable car: It is perfectly safe, it consists of 6 wagons and has capacity of 6 persons per wagon. During high season (April-October) it runs every 20 minutes. Single tickets cost €5 for adults and €2.50 for children. On foot: You would need to walk down the famous 600 steps of the traditional road that connects the old port with the town of Fira. The descend takes about 20-30 minutes, depending on your physical condition. By donkey: The donkeys used to be the traditional transportation way of the island. They go up and down to the old port of Fira frequently. A single ride costs around €5 per person and takes about 20 minutes. Most people prefer to take the donkey on their way up.
