Tobin Center Home to resident performing arts groups and major music and theatrical acts visiting San Antonio.  (Bus stop is directly in front of the El Tropicano Hotel) The Scottish Rite Cathedral Completed in 1924 at a cost of $1.5 million dollars.  A six story building in the style of a classic revival temple.  Serves as a meeting place for the Scottish Rite Masonry. Hipolito F. Garcia Federal Building Historic courthouse and post office located in Alamo Plaza.  (Bus stop across the street from the Emily Morgan Hotel) Buckhorn Saloon and Texas Ranger Museum An immersive Texas experience.  Explore the Museum’s Hall of Horns, and the Texas Ranger Museum and Ranger town. San Fernando Cathedral/Spanish Governor’s Palace Founded in 1731 and is the oldest continuously functioning religious community in Texas.  The Spanish Governor’s Palace was constructed in the early 18th century as the “Presidio San Antonio de Bejar”.  It marked Spanish settlement under King Ferdinand VI. Market Square/El Mercado Visitors and residents alike visit El Mercado for authentic Mexican dining, music, and treasures.  Located in the “Zona Cultura”. King William Historic District The Blue Star Arts Complex, the Guenther House, the King William District, and Southtown.  An area know for it’s diverse community, art galleries, restaurants and Victorian era homes. Situated in  Maincy - France, discover the famous Vaux le Vicomte Castle, purchased in 1641 by Nicolas Fouquet. Fouquet transformed the estate into a masterpiece whose château and gardens still feature among the most beautiful in France to this day. A work combined from the architect Louis Le Vau, the painter Charles Le Brun and the landscape gardener André Le Notre which resulted in an unparalleled harmony and beauty. Sadly, victim of a plot by jealous courtiers, Fouquet was arrested on the King Louis XIV’s orders and sentenced to life imprisonment in 1661. Vaux-le-Vicomte was therefore closed down, and its treasures seized – tapestries, furniture, paintings, books and rugs… even the orange trees were removed by the King.
