Optional mit Allradantrieb (4Matic), AIRMATIC oder Luftfederung mit Niveauregulierung ausgestattet, werden die Modelle der Baujahre 2006 bis 2013 auch als Luxus-Reisebus bezeichnet. Das Fahrzeug senkt sich über Nacht auf der Vorderachse ab und steht vorne schief oder senkt es sich einseitig vorne ab. Der Kompressor versucht bei Undichtigkeit, die entweichende Druckluft zu ersetzen. Dies gelingt in der Regel nicht. Der Kompressor läuft zu lange, überhitzt oder der integrierter Adsorptionstrockner lässt wegen Überlastung feuchte Luft durch. Am Ende und muss deshalb zusätzlich auch der Kompressor ersetzt werden. Achten Sie auch auf eine eventuelle Display-Meldung, die „AIRMATIC Fehler“ anzeigt und ein Indiz für Undichtigkeit des Systems ist. Wenn am Stoßdämpfer Öl austritt, verlieren Sie die guten Eigenschaften der Dämpfung. Der Stoßdämpfer verliert Öl, wenn er zu stark abgenutzt ist. Hören Sie beim Fahren laute Poltergeräusche, sollten Sie in jedem Fall Ihr Federbein und insbesondere den Stoßdämpfer prüfen.
