City Sightseeing Amsterdam - discover all the things to do in this cultural city
Discover the city with City Sightseeing's 9 Hop On Hop Off stops, located about the city. Marvel at the original works of the famous Dutch artist in the renowned Van Gogh Museum and Contemplate the heart-rending history of the Jewish community with a visit to the home of the diarist Anne Frank. There are plenty of museums to explore including the Amsterdam's Historisch Museum, Rembrandt House Museum, Madame Tussauds, the Diamond Museum and the Jewish Historical Museum. Other must-see attractions include the Amsterdam Dungeon, the Royal Palace, and Madame Tussauds.
You won't be short of things to do in Amsterdam
Stake a bet at the Casino, relax in the Hard Rock Café, meander through the Red Light District or encounter the Heineken Experience. If you're looking for souvenirs and gifts, take a stroll around the many shops and boutiques and also discover the multi-ethnic spirit of Amsterdam at the Flower Market and Flea Market.
Amsterdam Ice Bar
Your combination ticket also includes Amsterdam's Xtracold Icebar. By far the coolest attraction in town, fashioned completely from ice – with frozen furniture, walls and even glasses! You’ll be given special thermal clothing and gloves to wear before you step into the frosty bar with a temperature of 14 degrees Fahrenheit (negative 10 degrees Celsius)! Once inside, spend 30 minutes relaxing at leisure, enjoying either a Smirnoff cocktail or Heineken beer; or take part in a 3D ride experience over icebergs and along steep cliffs in a frozen landscape.
With your ticket you can enjoy one of the most unique and magnificent buildings in Barcelona: the Casa Milà, or "La Pedrera", the pejorative name the locals gave to the building due to its ground-breaking design and resemblance to a stone quarry. Its spectacular façade, with its undulating forms and twisted wrought-iron balcony rails, will welcome you on a route through the most important parts of this amazing building.
You can begin your visit at the top of the building, among the sinuous shapes and uneven surfaces of the rooftop with its chimneys in magical shapes that are so frequent in all Gaudí's work. When you come down into the attic space, you'll find an area that houses the only exhibition dedicated to Gaudí's life and work where you'll find out about his designs with models and plans, objects and designs, photographs and videos.
Afterwards, you'll be able to visit the recreation of an early-20th-century period apartment with furniture from the time and decorative elements designed by Gaudí, which will give you a glimpse of how an upper-middle class family lived. To end your visit, you'll be able to enjoy the courtyards which show the innovations of Gaudí's designs where you'll be able to see how nature inspired the entire building.
La Pedrera is now one of Barcelona's key cultural attractions which organises a wide range of activities and has a number of galleries staging exhibitions which are open to the public.
The 10,000 Islands Excursion, arguably, is the best way to experience the natural world around Marco Island.
Conducted within the 10,000 Islands Wildlife Refuge, you will experience what many describe as the best of Florida.
The tour is two-part:
The first part is a slow, intimate boating tour among the remote islands of the refuge. While you search for dolphins, manatees and sea turtles, you may encounter ospreys, bald eagles, ibis, roseate spoonbill, egrets, herons and any number of shorebird species. All the while, your formally trained naturalist guide will talk to you about the area's ecosystems, its long history and rich culture.
The second part of your excursion is an exploration of a remote barrier island beach ... an island that you only can reach by boat ... an island that few get to experience. Learn about beach dynamics; stroll through the tidal flats and wade the tidal pools of these remote islands. If you enjoy shelling, imaging shelling on islands that are NOT picked daily by 100's of people.
With your naturalist guide, learn not about individual shell animals, but actually learn "how to" shell.
