The Prisoners Exhibition Aside from the Crown Jewels the Tower of London is probably best known for being a prison. The Ravens ‘the kingdom and the Tower will fall if the six ravens ever leave the Tower of London’, well according to legend anyway. The Tower Green Believe it or not being executed inside the Tower of London was considered a privilege for those of high rank. Your Journey: Departing from Queenstown, your knowledgeable driver will provide an informative commentary on the points of interest along one of the world’s most picturesque drives – The Milford Road. Stop for some great photo opportunities along the way, before enjoying a two hour cruise aboard one of our specially designed small boats in Milford Sound. Sit back and relax as you cruise the length of the 16km fiord, out past St Annes Point Lighthouse, while our skipper highlights points of interest along the way, including the mighty Lady Bowen Falls, Lion Mountain, Copper Point, Seal Rock and Stirling Falls. We go further, and get you closer than any other operator in Milford Sound. Keep an eye out for local wildlife that can be found in the fiord, with New Zealand fur seals and dolphins spotted regularly, while occasionally the rare Fiordland Crested Penguin makes an appearance when in season. During the return journey we will have a brief refreshment break in the lakeside town of Te Anau. The railway station is one of the most stunning buildings in Europe. Our Lady Cathedral is the largest gothic church in the Lowlands and it boasts countless precious paintings by world class artistsof the 17th century. The absolute masterpieces, however, are the Rubens paintings. Our guided walk through the old city starts at the Steen, the impressive 13th century castle that guarded the city and its port. We take you to the gothic guild houses at the Market Square. The river Scheldt is the cradle of Antwerp where the city built the MAS-museum, famous for its spectacular views of the harbor and the old city. In your free time, do enjoy the local beer called a ’ Bolleke’.
