Der AUDW5066 ist ein All-in-One Wandeinbau-Controller für Multizonen-Audiomatrix-Systeme und Digitale Multimedia-Mischpulte. Er bietet eine Vielzahl von Funktionen wie die Audioquellenwahl mit individuell anpassbaren Routingeinstellungen oder direkt anwählbaren Preset-Mischungen (?Szenen? - nur M2) für spezifische Anwendungen. Die Bedienung erfolgt über das Multifunktionsrad mit Tastenfunktion, worüber auch Funktionen wie Lautstärke- und Klangregelung, Phantomspeisung, Stummschaltung etc. gesteuert werden. Über die lokalen Anschlussmöglichkeiten für Line-Pegel-Quellen und Mikrofone lassen sich weitere Audiogeräte auf die Audiomatrix routen, wobei sich einer der Anschlüsse als lokaler Line-Ausgang konfigurieren lässt. Über die zusätzlichen Eingänge können lokale Audioquellen wie CD- oder MP3-Player angeschlossen werden, für Durchsagen lässt sich ein Mikrofon anschließen. Sowohl der Line- als auch der Mikrofoneingang können über versenkbare Drehregler ausgesteuert werden, für Kondensatormikrofone lässt sich im Mikrofoneingang eine 15 Volt Phantomspeisung aktivieren. Die Möglichkeit, einen Eingang als Audio-Ausgang zu verwenden, ist besonders praktisch, wenn das Signal eines der Hauptausgänge auch lokal abgegriffen werden soll.
