Spirit of Norfolk - Dinner Cruise​

The Blue Mountains tour will begin from the comforts of our modern guest lounge. Before taking off on your helicopter flight experience, you will be greeted and checked-in by our expert operations staff. Following this, a proper safety briefing will be conducted between the pilot and passengers inside the spacious lounge area. Once the safety briefing is complete, we will head out to the helicopter giving you the chance to use your own camera for some photos before boarding and flying. You can stand in front of the helicopter, or pose on the side – just have some fun and make use of this great photo opportunity! Cameras and video recorders are more than welcome to be taken aboard on the flight, as you can capture more fantastic memories as we fly over picturesque Sydney Harbour and beyond. Upon the take-off of the helicopter for the Blue Mountains tour, you can enjoy the best of Sydney with full panoramic views of the skyline, Pacific Ocean and the widely renowned port of Botany Bay. Further along, our pilot will have you flying above the glistening waters of Maroubra Beach and going north-wards along the coast at 500 feet. You will contour fly the picturesque coastline of the Eastern Suburbs beaches including Coogee, Clovelly and also the world famous Bondi Beach, the aquamarine waters sparkling against the Sydney sun. You won’t be able to stop admiring the spectacular houses in Ben Buckler and Vaucluse, where they are perched on chiselled sandstone cliffs as the flight continues northbound to Sydney Harbour Heads. Entering Sydney Harbour, you will fly past the Sydney Opera House on descent for the southern pylon of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, flanked by the skyscrapers of North Sydney on the right and the Circular Quay/Sydney CBD on the left you will track the Parramatta River at 500 feet before coming to the Parramatta CBD, the geographical centre of Sydney. Your pilot will set course to the West as you slowly start to climb in elevation, the Blue Mountains in all their glory are ahead to greet you and uncover some of their visual secrets that you can only ever appreciate from the air. You will see the famous Three Sisters and the unforgiving sandstone cliff faces that encompass the Jamison Valley. See the cascading Wentworth Falls as their crystal clear waters drop into the abyss before coming to a gentle end at the sandstone valley floor. The uniquely Australian eucalyptus forests stretch forever as you head South to Sydney’s water catchment area, the Warragamba Dam. It is truly amazing that you can go from Australia’s largest city to an area so remote that only seeing is believing. Returning via Sydney’s South Western suburbs and the Sydney Olympic Site this amazing flight is bound to exceed even the highest expectations. Your pilot will guide you throughout the flight, providing commentary with the use of the Bose voice-activated headsets. This modern piece of equipment also lets you talk with the pilots and with other passengers whilst on the helicopter!

El tour sigue hacia la Calle Carrera de San Jerónimo, Las Cortes, Plaza de Neptuno, Paseo del Prado (Museos Thyssen, Prado y Reina Sofía), Atocha, el señorial Parque del Retiro, Plaza de Cibeles, Calle Alcalá, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas donde se hará la última parada. Final del tour en el estadio Santiago Bernabéu. Se realizarán paradas en la Plaza Mayor, el Templo de Debod y en la Plaza de Toros para pasear y tomar fotos, siempre que el tiempo lo permita y en compañía del guía. El edificio que hoy sirve de sede al Museo Nacional del Prado fue diseñado por el arquitecto Juan de Villanueva en 1785, como Gabinete de Ciencias Naturales, por orden de Carlos III. No obstante, el destino final de esta construcción no estaría claro hasta que su nieto Fernando VII, impulsado por su esposa la reina María Isabel de Braganza, tomó la decisión de destinar este edificio a la creación de un Real Museo de Pinturas y Esculturas. El Museo Nacional del Prado, abrió por primera vez al público en 1819. El primer catálogo constaba de 311 pinturas, aunque para entonces en el Museo se guardaban ya 1510 obras procedentes de los Reales Sitios. Las valiosísimas Colecciones Reales, germen de la colección del actual Museo del Prado, comenzaron a tomar forma en el siglo XVI bajo los auspicios del emperador Carlos V y fueron sucesivamente enriquecidas por todos los monarcas que le sucedieron, tanto Austrias como Borbones. A ellos se deben los tesoros más emblemáticos que se pueden contemplar hoy en el Prado, tales como El jardín de las Delicias de El Bosco, El caballero de la mano en el pecho de El Greco, Las Meninas de Velázquez o La familia de Carlos IV de Goya. La visita se realizará en orden cronológico, comenzando con la sala donde se exhiben las obras maestras de J. Bosch (El Bosco) (1450-1516): La mesa de los 7 pecados capitales, El carro de heno, Las tentaciones de San Antonio, La piedra de la locura y El jardín de las Delicias, para proseguir con las salas dedicadas a El Greco (1540-1614): El caballero de la mano en el pecho, La trinidad, El Cristo abrazado a la cruz y La anunciación. Velázquez (1599-1660): La adoración, Los borrachos, retratos ecuestres, La fragua de Vulcano, el Cristo, Las hilanderas, Las lanzas y Las meninas, finalizando con Goya (1746-1828): la familia de Carlos IV, los retratos, Los fusilamientos del 2 de Mayo, las majas y las pinturas negras.

Over 200 works by iconic Dutch artist M.C. Escher Most of his most iconic and recognizable masterpieces, including Hand with Reflecting Sphere, Relativity, Belvedere, Eye, Metamorphisis, Day and Night, and Waterfall. Scientific experiments, play areas, and educational resources will help visitors of allages to understand the impossible perspectives, disquieting images, and seemingly irreconcilable universes which Escher combined to create a unique artistic dimension. Among these special installations will be massive photo booths constructed to emulate Escher's hypnotic environments. Visitors will be able to photograph themselves "inside" the worlds of M.C. EScher. The "Relativity Room" turns normal size and scale on it's head. The "Infinity Room" shows visitors their reflection repeated, semingly into infinity.
