Multi award winning Ocean Rafting visits the “Wild Side” of the Whitsunday Islands, the uninhabited islands with beautiful natural scenery brimming with marine, bird and animal life. There are two exciting tour options, the Northern Exposure and Southern Lights. Each Ocean Rafting day offers three days in one, including an exhilarating ride to Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, pristine snorkelling reefs and guided Whitsunday Island National Parks walks. Ocean Rafting offers the ultimate access to the stunning and iconic Hill Inlet beach and special snorkel sites at Hook Island and Border Island ensure a memorable underwater experience. The boat departs from the old port of Fira and heads towards the volcanic island of Nea Kameni, which lies just 10 minutes away from the bay of Fira. The boat will remain there for 1 hour 15 mins. This gives you plenty of time to walk up to the volcano’s active craters and take photos- it takes about 20 mins. It is worth reaching the top to experience the smoke evaporating and the sulfur's intense smell, when you scratch the volcano’s surface. The next stop is the island of Palaia Kameni where the Hot Springs are located. The boat anchors a few meters outside the small bay of Agios Nikolaos, it lowers down a ladder in the water and you will have 30 mins for a revitalising swim! You can swim a distance of about 30 meters into the famous mud baths of Palaia Kameni which are believed to have beneficial abilities for skin and other diseases. The water temperature is 30-35 degrees Celsius, but it is constantly mixed with sea water. The island of Thirassia is the next destination of your sailing tour, where you will have 2 hours free time to swim in the crystal waters of Korfos or to taste the local dishes in one of the traditional taverns.You can walk or take a donkey ride to the nearby picturesque village of Manolas with its narrow streets - the view from there to Santorini is definitely worth a visit.  The journey reaches its peak at Oia. During the boat ride to the port of Oia, you will experience sailing near the volcanic cliffs for a chance to capture with your camera the unique landscape. At the port, you will disembark and you will go up the 275 steps or ride a donkey to meet your bus that will take you to the village of Oia. There you will have free time to walk through the narrow streets, take pictures of the mesmerizing scenery and watch the famous sunset. Right after the sunset the bus will take you back to Fira Central Square. How does Share Ride work? If you are going to EWR airport: The driver picks up passengers in order from the destinations furthest from the airport to the closest. Your pick-up time will depend on the relationship between your location and how many other share passengers will be picked up and their respective locations. If you are the furthest away from the airport, you will be picked up relatively early to your flight time and will have to visit other locations to pick up share passengers before arriving at the airport. We guarantee that you will arrive to the airport on time. If you are leaving from EWR airport: Simply proceed to the Ground Transportation Desk in your arriving terminal and present the Go Airlink NYC voucher you printed. They also have FREE courtesy phones in every terminal at the baggage claim area. The driver picks up passengers by terminal. Please understand that if you are at the first terminal for pick up, you will have priority seating in the vehicle but it may take time to travel to the other terminals to pick up share passengers before leaving the airport. After all of the passengers have been picked up from their respective terminals, the driver will drop off passengers in order of the closest destination point to the furthest. If your destination is the furthest away from the airport, you will have to wait for the other share ride passengers to be dropped off at their respective destinations before arriving at your final point.
