Welcome to the Bombay Sapphire Distillery The Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Laverstoke Mill offers a behind-the-scenes experience that showcases the artistry and creativity infused into every drop of Bombay Sapphire gin. Guests of this state-of-the-art, sustainable distillery can discover what makes Bombay Sapphire such a distinctive gin. From discovering the unique Vapour Infusion distillation process in the Dakin Still House, to exploring the ten exotic botanicals nurtured in the stunning glasshouses.  Visitors can also uncover the history of both Laverstoke Mill and Bombay Sapphire, explore the local conservation area and complete the experience with Bombay Sapphire cocktails in the Mill Bar. Laverstoke Mill is a site steeped in natural beauty and elegance. Astride the crystal clear River Test, situated within a Conservation Area and Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) in rural Hampshire just 60 miles from London. The striking redesign of the distillery is in part the inspiration of the acclaimed London designers at Heatherwick Studio. The careful renovation included a number of beautiful Victorian and Georgian buildings restored to their former glory. The site has been awarded the highly prestigious BREEAM (Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) Award for Sustainable Industrial Design.

Der Wein in seinem tief, dunkel glänzenden Purpur-Rubinrot erzeugt in der Nase ein elegantes feinwürziges Bouquet von dunklen Früchten reife Schattenmorellen, Brombeeren, Schwarze Johannisbeeren , Veilchen, Lakritz, Lebkuchengewürzen und den warmen Röstaromen der Barriquereife Vanille, Toast . Am Gaumen findet sich viel dunkle Frucht Backpflaumen, Schwarzkirschen und Würze, kraftvoll-geschmeidig mit zunehmender Dichte, Tiefe und Struktur, im Finale elegant und lang, mit feiner Balance von intensiver Frucht, reifem Tannin und sehr gut eingebundener Eiche. Schon jetzt angenehm zugänglich, besitzt dieser Wein zugleich genügend Kraft und Potenzial für einige Jahre der Reife. Passt zu geschmortem oder gebratenem Lamm- und Rindfleisch mit mediterranen Kräutern, Gänsebraten mit Lebkuchen oder Backpflaumen, gefüllten Auberginen oder roten Paprika, Linsen, weissen Bohnen und mittelkräftigen Käsesorten.
