This fine baroque palace is closely associated with Scotland's rich history. The Palace is perhaps best known as the home of Mary, Queen of Scots, and as the setting for many of the dramatic episodes in her turbulent reign. Mary was married at Holyroodhouse and witnessed the brutal killing of her secretary Rizzio by her jealous second husband, Lord Darnley, in her private apartments. The Palace briefly served as the headquarters of Bonnie Prince Charlie during the 1745 uprising. Palace of Holyroodhouse opening times: April to October - daily from 09:30-18:00 (last admission at 16:30); November to March - daily from 09:30-16:30 (last admission at 15:15).

Outward journey A representative will meet you at London's St Pancras International station to give you your welcome pack and tickets ready for your 2.5 hour Eurostar train journey to Paris city centre. Meeting Point: Eurostar Terminal, 6.15am Monday - Friday or 5.30am Saturdays. Passport required for travel and please check any visa requirements for travel to France prior to booking.  On arrival at Gare Du Nord, you and your host will board your luxury coach and start your journey in Paris. You will see famous landmarks including the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame, Musee d'Orsay and Place de la Concorde. Your first stop is the Eiffel Tower, where you'll have time to get up close and take plenty of photos. You will have free time to explore the area, may have some lunch. As your host for recommendations. (Entrance to the Eiffel Tower is not included) Return journey Following a full day in Paris, make your way back to Gare du Nord station with your guide for your train back to London (arrival 21.39 local time)

The City Hall stop leads to the richness and contrasts of the Marais district and the Pompidou Centre. Louvre: Between Pont Royal and Pont du Carrousel. Reveals a quarter where history and history of art are one. Champs-Elysées: Close to Pont Alexandre III. Mythical Paris-the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and Avenue Montaigne. Over 200 works by iconic Dutch artist M.C. Escher Most of his most iconic and recognizable masterpieces, including Hand with Reflecting Sphere, Relativity, Belvedere, Eye, Metamorphisis, Day and Night, and Waterfall. Scientific experiments, play areas, and educational resources will help visitors of allages to understand the impossible perspectives, disquieting images, and seemingly irreconcilable universes which Escher combined to create a unique artistic dimension. Among these special installations will be massive photo booths constructed to emulate Escher's hypnotic environments. Visitors will be able to photograph themselves "inside" the worlds of M.C. EScher. The "Relativity Room" turns normal size and scale on it's head. The "Infinity Room" shows visitors their reflection repeated, semingly into infinity.
