'Lido' is a collage which cleverly produces a highly pleasing abstract effect from figurative elements. Swimmers dive, topple, bomb, launch and extend gracefully amidst semi-transparent droplets which produce secondary colours as they overlap. The Aesthetic Movement meets early Modernism. I think this is a really accomplished design - playful yes, but also very sophisticated. Design at its best. The colours and contrast are delightful.
