iFLY welcome flyers from 3 to 103. If you have reasonable health and fitness you can fly. But do check the criteria below before you purchase tickets. There are a few exceptions: Flyers must be over 3 years of age. Participants must weigh less than 300 pounds. Participants who weigh between 260 and 300 pounds must bring this to the attention of an iFLY representative as additional restrictions and instructor scheduling limitations may apply. Women who are pregnant should not fly. Helicopter Flight Services is proud to operate top-of-the-line, high-performance Bell407 (up to 6 pax) and EC130 (up to 7 pax) helicopters. The spacious cabins and high visibility windows have been specially designed for sightseeing which allows 180 degree views; no other helicopter operator in New York City can offer these unobstructed views.  The Bell and EC130 has proven to be safe, fast and powerful helicopters giving an incredibly smooth ride in virtually all conditions. Pilots are specially trained on both types of helicopters and the state-of-the-art safety system, TCAS. TCAS is an onboard radar system that allows pilots the advantage of managing the air traffic around them. All passengers enjoy their flight with voice interactive headsets to hear and speak to the pilot and each other.

Restrictions: Must be 14 or older with parental consent, 18 or older without consent. 100 lb minimum and 330 lb. weight max. Must sign waiver. Flight time for one person option cannot be split between two people. Not suitable for pregnant women or people with heart or back problems. Must sign waiver. No Pickup/Drop-off service available. All rafting trips required 8 passengers, however bookings will be accepted for less than the required number on the basis that bookings will be coordinated to achieve maximum numbers. Accessibility: The Empire State Building is fully ADA compliant. We have handicapped restrooms on the 86th Floor Observatory and also have lowered viewing walls and binoculars. Service dogs are allowed throughout the building. Motorized and non-motorized wheelchairs are permitted. The 86th Floor has ramps to make getting around easier and lowered viewing walls so that visitors in chairs can still take in the view. Additional Options: 102nd Floor Observatory: Upgrade available at Observatory ticket office (2nd floor) or 86th floor kiosk for an additional $20.00. Express Pass: Purchase exclusively from the official Empire State Building onsite ticket office on the day of arrival to move to the front the line. Dining: State Grill and Bar offers a prix fixe dinner package to observatory guests with fresh locally sourced foods prepared in our glass enclosed kitchen and unique, local craft beers and cocktails. There are also two Starbucks, a café, Chipotle, Sushi-teria, and the budget minded Heartland Brewery.

What to Expect: Check-in: You will be greeted by our friendly staff who will help you to book flights and answer any questions. You will then be asked to fill out a waiver and will be introduced to your flight instructor. Briefing/Training: The flight instructor will instruct you about the process of the flight, as well as the rules and safety standards. You will be shown flying postures to acquire during the flight. A quick video will be played to first time flyers in addition to the training from the instructor. Gear Up: The flight instructor will give the you all the flying gear necessary and show you how to properly use it. Flight: At the beginning, the flight instructor will help you to get adjusted to the wind flow. When you are accustomed to it, the instructor will help you safely fly in the wind stream. If you can fly well, the instructor will rise with you in the air up to 10 feet in height. Flight Options • Taste of Flight: 1 flight – Equivalent to 3-12,000 skydives • Jungle Adventure: 2 flights – Equivalent to 6-12,000 skydives • Great Jungle Adventure: 3 flights – Equivalent to 9-12,000 skydives RESTRICTIONS & SAFETY You can fly if you are at least 3 years old, max. weight 285 lbs., shorter than 6’8”. Previous preparation and experience are not required. All flight equipment will be provided. Customer must follow instructor’s rules and guidance. Both the wind tunnel security features and the flight instructor will keep you safe. You cannot fly if you have severe joint injuries or fractures, have injuries restricting the movement of your back or other places, are pregnant, have epilepsy, are under the influence of alcohol and / or drugs. Rain, snow, or wind will not interfere with the flights. Flights will only be cancelled during a thunderstorm
