Das „Magnetic Slider Design“ wird von Neodym-Magneten mit einer Lebenserwartung von über 300.000 mal angetrieben. Die rückseite Dualkamera unterstützt optischen Zoom und vierachsige optische Bildstabilisierung (OIS) und ist in der Lage, Zeitlupenvideos mit 960 Bildern pro Sekunde aufzunehmen. Ähnlich wie im Nachtmodus des Huawei P20 Pro oder dem Google Pixel 3 XL auch, verwendet auch Xiaomi einen neuen "stationären tragbaren Nachtaufnahmemodus", der eine bessere Fotografie bei schlechten Lichtverhältnissen ermöglicht.
