Washington National Cathedral & Georgetown Loop (Yellow Loop): The second largest cathedral in the United States is found in the District’s Northwest quadrant. Washington National Cathedral is a spiritual hub open to all and a stunning work of Gothic architecture featuring stained glass, ornate carvings and vaulted ceilings. Your tour continues in Georgetown, a picturesque neighborhood home to many colorful row houses and renowned Georgetown University. M Street, which runs through the neighborhood, is a mecca for shopping, dining, and nightlife. You can also hop off at Georgetown Waterfront Park to stroll along the promenade and rent a canoe or kayak! FAQ How long do I have to use my pass? You’ll have one day to use your pass, starting when you redeem your voucher at the CitySights DC Ticket Desk at Union Station in Washington, DC. What does unlimited hop-on, hop-off access mean? Can I get off anywhere?  With unlimited hop-on, hop-off access you can hop off the bus at any of the designated tour stops along the route, spend time walking around or exploring attractions, and get back on the bus at the same stop or any of the other designated stops listed on our map. You can do this an unlimited number of times within the specified hours for each tour. View tour stops and route map here.  You can not hop off at locations other than our designated hop-on, hop-off tour stops.  Do I need to specify a date of travel?  No. When you place your order, you will have to choose the day you believe you are going to use the voucher. However, we do understand that plans change so you have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire. Please note, some of our partner attractions do require reservations – please refer to the tour details for more information.  Can I use my voucher to board the bus?  No. You must redeem your voucher at the Citysights DC Tickets Desk - Union Station Main Lobby, 50 Massachusetts Avenue, NE Washington, DC 20002. Where can I start the tour?  After redeeming your voucher at Union Station, you may use your ticket(s) to board a bus and start your tour at any of the hop-on, hop-off stops. The double-decker buses run every 30 minutes (Red Loop), every hour (Purple Loop) and every 2 hours (Yellow Loop). Please be advised that times can vary due to traffic conditions. Yes, Scooterbug Mobility provides electric scooter rentals on first come/first served basis. Do you offer strollers? Yes, Scooterbug Mobility provides stroller rentals for parents of small children or infants. What are the height requirements? Height requirements for the rides are located on the park maps, which can be found in the Orlando or Kissimmee sections of the web site. How much does it cost if I'm not riding anything? Our Free Admission means that there is NO Cost to come in and watch others enjoying the rides. So if you are not riding, you are not paying. It is FREE! Do I need an armband if all I am doing is driving my child on the go-karts? If a child is not tall enough to drive themselves on a ride/go-kart, then someone over 18 may drive them IF the driver has either an Armband (54+) OR a Chauffeur Armband which is only permits you to drive a child and only drive a child on rides they could not do without an adult. The cost of a Chauffeur Armband is only $9.95. Is the arcade included in the armband? Because you can win prizes the more you play certain arcade games, we do not have any unlimited arcade. With our arcade you pay per game with a Fun-E-Card you purchase. Game prices vary from $.25 to $2.00. Is the SkyCoaster ride included in the armband? The SkyCoaster is a unique, one of a kind ride. To ride the SkyCoaster by yourself, it costs $40, BUT if you have already purchased an Armband, you may include the SkyCoaster for only an additional $20. What happens when it rains? Fun Spot has lots of options when it rains. First of all we can offer you a rain check, if you have had an Armband for less than 90 minutes. So you can go and come another day. OR keep your Armband and wait until the rain ends and return to the park to continue riding and racing. We are open until Midnight. OR ride in the rain. Many rides stay open in the rain. How heavy the rain is, and whether or not there is lightning will determine which rides remain open. If you choose to stay, get a poncho from us. We value price them to make it attractive for you to stay. Can I bring in my own food? We do allow you to bring in your own birthday Cake if you are having a birthday celebration. Other than that we ask for no outside food or drink in our park. We are free admission, it is easy to leave the park and return after eating. Of course, once you see our fun food options, we hope to tempt you into staying and recharging here. Can I leave and come back? With Free Admission you may come and go as often as you would like. Your armbands will be good until Midnight. So if you leave at 3 pm and want to return at 9 pm, as long as your Armbands are still on your arms there is no additional charge. How much is it for my baby? For anyone who is not doing the rides, we are a FREE admission park. We do not recommend our rides for any child under 24 months. If your two year old only wants to do one carousel ride, it is $3 a ride. Speak with a manager if your child needs you to ride with them on one of our pre-school rides. So your baby is free, but if your toddler chooses to ride then they are a customer. Where are the restrooms? This is our most common question. Please check the park maps or ask any employee. Und nun, 13 Jahre später, hat das National September 11 Memorial Museum eröffnet, um derer zu gedenken die ihr Leben verloren haben- und abermals sicherzustellen, daß die Welt „niemals vergessen“ wird. Die Stärke des Museums liegt, in erster Linie, in seinem Standort: Die über 10.000 m² Ausstellungsfläche liegt im "archäologischen Herzen des World Trade Center Standorts“. Das Museum führt den Besucher wortwörtlich in den Untergrund. Es liegt etwa 21 Meter unter der Erde, so daß der Museumseintritt den Abstieg vom Außenlicht in schwach beleuchtete Tiefen bedeutet, was zur umfassenden Kraft und Pathos dieses heiligen Ortes beiträgt. Eine Vielzahl faszinierender Exponate offenbart den Aufbau von New York’s beeindruckendem Urgestein, wie der 450-Millionen-Jahre-alte Brocken Manhattan Schiefer, ausgegraben im August 2008. Die architektonische Größe des WTC’s wird auch demonstriert durch ein großes Modell, ursprünglich 1969 bis 1971 gebaut, welches eines der größten und detailliertesten, heute noch erhaltenen WTC Vorzeigemodelle ist. Es ist ein kraftvoller Beitrag, weil es hervorhebt was das World Trade Center war, als das was aus ihm wurde. Und was aus dem WTC wurde, ist im ganzen Museum dargestellt, inklusive der „Treppe der Überlebenden“, die das zuletzt sichtbare Relikt der Gebäude nach den Anschlägen war. Die Treppe diente für viele als gefährlicher Überlebensweg zur Flucht, und 2008 zog die über 50-000-kg schwere Treppe ins Museum, wo sie heute hervorragt. Besucher können auch eine massiv gedrehtes Stück "impact Stahl" sehen- ein Teil der Nordturmfassade, die einen direkten Einschlag des American Airlines Fluges 11 erfuhr. Eine Seite des Museums umfaßt die schlammige Mauer, eine Ufermauer die gebaut wurde, um den Hudson River davor zu bewahren den Platz zu fluten. Aber obwohl das Museum mit massiven Teilen gefüllt ist, die die Wunden der Tragödie tragen, sind es die kleinen persönlichen Objekte, die vielleicht die eindringlichsten sind: beschmutzte Lupen, ein Paar Absätze, eine zertrampelte Brieftasche, ausgebreitet mit Münzen und Kreditkarten, ein Flügelpin eines Flugbegleiters am Revers. Wie der New York Times Kunstkritiker Holland Carter schön zusammenfasste: “Durchdrungen von verlorenem Leben, machen sie die Erfahrung, sich zugleich theatralisch, voyeuristisch und andächtig durch dieses Museum zu bewegen.” Vor allem ist das Museum eine Ehrung der Opfer, der Überlebenden - und Ihrer Angehörigen. Zahlreiche Exponate zeigen Fotos, Audio, Videos und Aufnahmen, Zeugnisse im Zusammenhang mit dem 11. September 2001 und auch der WTC Bombardierung am 26. Februar 1993. Auf vielerlei Weise behandelt das Museum genauso den Untergang  des WTC’s, als auchNew York’s Widerstandsfähigkeit. Das wird besonders oberhalb des sonnendurchfluteten Mahnmals offenbar, wo schimmernde Geländer, eingraviert mit den 2,983 Opfernamen, die beiden Mahnmal Becken umgeben, in den Fußstapfen der Twin Towers. Hier nahm Schönheit den Platz der Tragödie ein. Wussten Sie schon? Präsident Barack Obama war während der Einweihungszeremonie des Museums im Mai 2014 vor Ort, zusammen mit Überlebenden des 11. September, Rettern und Angehörigen. Herr Obama wurde auf einer Tour durch das Museum begleitet vom ehemaligen Präsidenten Bill Clinton und der ehemalige Staatssekretärin Hillary Rodham Clinton. Das World Trade Center (WTC) war viel mehr als nur einige Gebäude. Der Komplex bestand aus sieben Bauten von über 64.000 qm und umfasste Büros, das Restaurant „Fenster der Welt“ und eine unterirdische Einkaufspassage. Etwa 50,000 Menschen arbeiteten im WTC Komplex und ca. 40,000 passierten es täglich. Die Zahlen hinter dem 9/11 Memorial Museum sind beeindruckend: Das Museum hat mehr als 10,000 Artefakte, 23,000 Bilder und 500 Stunden Film- und Videomaterial. Im Auditorium, Museum Pavilion L-2 Level können sich Museumsbesucher täglich kostenfrei Filme rund um die Geschehnisse des 9/11 anschauen.
