The Map Room La Sala de Mapas entró en uso desde el primer día en que las Cabinet War Rooms estaban listas para su ocupación y siguieron siendo el corazón de la zona durante toda la guerra. La habitación estaba abierta las veinticuatro horas de todos los días, desde Agosto del 1939 hasta Agosto del 1045. La función principal de la sara era actuar como un lugar de encuentro para recoger información sobre la guerra. The War Cabinet Room Este fue el santuario interior del Gobierno Británico, la sala utilizada para las reuniones del Primer Ministro, un grupo selecto de ministros y consejeros de su gabinete de guerra y sus Jefes de Estado Mayor. En el lugar se llevaron a cabo 115 reuniones del gabinete de guerra y las decisiones más trascendentales se tomaron en esta sala. Los reposabrazos rascados del asiento en el que se sentó Churchill dan testimonio de las tensiones de esas reuniones cruciales en momentos críticos de la guerra. Churchill's Room A pesar de las comodidades de su habitación en las Cabinet War Rooms, a Winston Churchill no le gustaba dormir allí. Solo la utilizaba para visitas y negocios si se veía obligado a esconderse. También realizó cuatro de sus discursos durante la guerra allí, incluyendo el discurso del 11 de Setiembre de 1940, advirtiendo de los planes de Hitler para librar una guerra contra el Reino Unido. The Transatlantic Telephone Room Transatlantic Telephone Room, una habitación en la cual había conectado un encriptador 'Sigsaly' creó una línea de acceso directo que permitió a Churchill y el presidente Americano conversar sobre sus estrategias bajo seguridad total. Igual que todas las habitaciones en el complejo, originalmente esta tenía un propósito más humilde - una vez fue una tienda para escobas y equipamiento doméstico. Fue adaptada a medianos de 1943 para albergar esta instalación secreta. The Churchill Museum El Museo Churchill está dividido en 5 capítulos que abarcan los 90 años de la vida de Churchill. La historia comienza el 10 de Mayo de 1940 con el nombramiento de Churchill como el Primer Ministro. Los visitantes podrán explorar los últimos años de su vida, su infancia, su temprana política carrera y finalmente el período más famoso de su vida: 'Gathering Storm'. Facilities El Café Switchroom es un gran lugar para relajarse con una variedad de comida recién preparada en las instalaciones, junto con una gran variedad de bebidas. Abierto los 7 días de la semana desde las 10:00 hasta las 17:00, el café se encuentra a mitad del camino, pero podrá visitar el local en cualquier momento. En él también encontrará un reportaje fotográfico interesante sobre la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Todos los visitantes están provistos de una audioguía gratuita disponible en Inglés (adulto, familiar y versión con descripción para gente con problemas de visión), francés, alemán, italiano, español, hebreo, holandés y mandarín. Even if you haven't ridden a bike for many years, downhill cycling is easy to do, as it is downhill all the way and a nice smooth ride at your own pace. Just a couple of tiny uphill bits, but very manageable. With stops for photo opportunities and a visits to tiny villages, on with stop for lunch at the 'Cannibals' restaurant [ optional extra]. You can take a packed lunch or picnic with you if you prefer and belongings can be left in the van. You will have British guides with a wealth of knowledge they are happy to share with you on you adventure day out with Downhill Bikes and they have some amusing tales to tell you too. Imagine a land of discovery with majestic mountains and dramatic gorges. Fertile valleys and Moorish castles and quaint villages with abundant wildlife and soaring eagles. Now you can enjoy all of this on your Downhill Bike Ride where imagination turns into a wonderful reality!
Bateau Bus This stop is located on the North quay of the Port Hercule, opposite the large yachts. During the Monaco Grand Prix, you will find yourself exactly within the famous chicane where the formula 1 cars have to brake hard, having reached 250 kmph when leaving the tunnel. From this stop you can take the boat bus that takes you from the other side of the port, to the foot of the old town, very close to the cruise terminal. A few hundred metres from here you can also walk to the magnificent terraces of the Casino, taking the lifts located at the entrance to the tunnel. Jardin Japonais Located close the Portier car park, from this stop you can visit the Japanese Garden and the Grimaldi Forum. Sporting On the boundary between MONACO and Beausoleil, from this stop you can visit the beaches, the Sporting or the hotel Monte-Carlo Bay. Villa Sauber NEW NATIONAL MUSEUM OF MONACO Open every day from 11.00 to 19.00 (summer) and from 10.00 to 18.00 (winter). Monte-Carlo Casino You have now arrived in the Monte-Carlo district. Stop here to visit the Place du casino, where you can admire the luxury cars or have a glass of something at the Café de Paris. Grimaldi / SNCF Nearby attraction and points of interest: SNCF railway station, Condamine Market. Useful information: If you arrive in Monaco by train, you can join the bus at this Stop. Place du Palais This is the first stop on the famous Rocher [Rock]. This is where there is the changing of the Guard every day at 12.00 . Spend some time strolling through the alleys and backstreets of Monaco-Ville and discover the magnificent views it will offer you. Princesse Stéphanie (Rascasse) It is in the boulevard Albert 1er that the Formula 1 starting line sees off the racing cars in the Monaco Grand Prix.
