The exteriors of the buildings are now made of Cypress, cut and milled by Native Americans. Invasive, non-native plants and trees were removed to make way for a wide range of newly planted vegetation native to the area. All changes were made with great care to further restore the park to its indigenous landscape. Native American Village Towering Chickee Huts cover genuine artifacts and hand-made creations of Little Big Mountain and his wife Laura, as they are immersed in the daily workings of the Native American Village. Deeply rooted appreciation for Native American heritage is brought to life by the Big Mountain family for guests through the traditional stories and techniques of their culture that once thrived in Central Florida. Over 200 works by iconic Dutch artist M.C. Escher Most of his most iconic and recognizable masterpieces, including Hand with Reflecting Sphere, Relativity, Belvedere, Eye, Metamorphisis, Day and Night, and Waterfall. Scientific experiments, play areas, and educational resources will help visitors of allages to understand the impossible perspectives, disquieting images, and seemingly irreconcilable universes which Escher combined to create a unique artistic dimension. Among these special installations will be massive photo booths constructed to emulate Escher's hypnotic environments. Visitors will be able to photograph themselves "inside" the worlds of M.C. EScher. The "Relativity Room" turns normal size and scale on it's head. The "Infinity Room" shows visitors their reflection repeated, semingly into infinity.

Our first stop on this wonderful day tour is the famous Ghost Town of Rhyolite, a long abandoned gold mining community and the set for many movies and documentaries. Next is the wonderful panorama from Hell's Gate then to Badwater at 282 feet below sea level. Your group will board one of our powerful airboats deep in the night to seek out Florida's legendary reptile, the American Alligator. Our handlers are happy to demonstrate how these animals live and survive in the wild.  We also have a variety of monitors and rescued exotic snakes.  Be sure to bring your camera, so you can capture the excitement of you cradling one of these majestic animals with our "Hold a Baby Alligator" experience!  Glades Exhibit: Start off by spending a few leisurely minutes enjoying the "Our Everglades Story" video presentation. This video touches on the history of the Glades and some current subjects of importance to its conservation efforts.  Exotic Wildlife Exhibit: A separate organization that brings a variety of animals to the park each day to visit. They strive to educate and enlighten the public about endangered species like the Florida Panther. Mammals in their care are adopted and rescued from facilities who lose their licensing or individuals who possessed the animal illegally. Playful critters abound and amaze as you get up close and personal with many different animals that often include panthers, leopards, caracal's, a bobcat and even some surprise smaller mammals each day.  Currently, they display Mia, a beautiful Florida panther, their black leopards, Damien and Jessie and a variety of other small mammals.  The handlers are passionate about the care of these gentle animals and are happy to answer any questions.
