On the Lower East Side, you’ll see tenement buildings where Irish immigrants lived in subhuman conditions. The most notorious area here was the ‘Five Points’ - a junction so infamous for its gang crime (rumor has it some even lived in burrows under the streets!) that Charles Dickens came to check it out himself on a trip to NYC, not believing it could live up to its reputation. It did, of course, as your guide will tell you. Irish gangs weren’t the only group to terrorise the Lower East Side however. Throughout the 1900s the Italian mafia kept Little Italy in a choke hold, while the 1970s and 1980s were dominated by Chinese turf wars that were so bloody you’ll hardly believe the stories. From the city’s earliest rag-tag gangs to the mafia empires of the 20th century, you’ll separate the truth from from  myths popularized by movies like Gangs of New York and TV shows like The Sopranos. You’ll also learn about the city’s most notorious criminals; from Captain Kidd and Boss Tweed, to John Gotti and Leona Helmsley. The neighborhoods you visit are much nicer today than they were in the past but has NYC really cleaned up its act? As part of your tour, you’ll visit lower Manhattan, in particular Wall Street and the Financial District, to learn about modern, white collar crime (and the going rate for a get-out-of-jail-free card). It provides a fun & exciting opportunity for youngsters & is an excellent stepping-stone towards discovering the underwater world & building confidence. You don’t have to worry about the weather either as the pool at Bellaluz is heated so we can dive rain or shine! Once children have finished their first experience in scuba diving they receive a certificate. Before children can follow a full instructional course & become certified divers they have to be 12 years old in this part of Spain. Videos and photos of their special day can be purchased on the day for 30 euros (optional)

The tour starts with a visit to the delightful villages of Volendam, Zaanse Schans, Marken, and Edam and enjoy a cheese-tasting and a demonstration of traditional clog-making! From there you will to visit an authentic and typical Dutch wooden windmill, followed up by a cruise on the waters of the lake Ijsselmeer to the picturesque village of Volendam. You will have the chance to indulge the various delicacies the Netherlands have to offer, including local cheese, lunch in a traditional Dutch fish restaurant and visit an authentic Dutch bakery.       

Participants should plan on spending 1 to 1.5 hours at Dolphins Plus from arrival to departure. Participants must understand English or bring someone that can translate in order to take part in the swim program. Participants should be comfortable in water that is 12 - 15 feet deep. Swimmers must be at least 7 years old to participate. A participating parent or guardian, age 18 or older must accompany swimmers age 7 to 9 years. Swimmers age 10 to 17 must be accompanied at the facility by a participating or non- swimming parent/ guardian age 18 or older, but can enter the water independently. Pregnant women are unable to participate in our in-water encounters. If any members of your party have special needs please contact us before completing your booking  

Convenient storage lockers are available at the park entrance.  Small: AED45 per day Large: AED55 per day Jumbo: AED60 per day  Ride lockers are available at the Velociraptor, Predator and Spider-Man Doc Ock’s Revenge rides (AED10 per hour). Loose articles will not be permitted on rides. Wheelchair and Stroller Hire: Wheelchairs are available for day hire. The wheelchairs are available on a first come first service basis, and must not pass the entry / exit turnstiles. A valid ID has to be provided to hire the wheelchairs. The ID will be returned to the guest once the wheelchair is returned and is damage free (or the same state as when it was leased).
