ITINERARY Escape busy city life on this half-day trip from Dublin and take this Northern Coastal tour to Malahide Castle.    At the first stop you can enjoy a live-guided tour of the refurbished Malahide Castle and explore the grounds that spam across 250 acres. When exploring make sure you watch out for some spooky ghouls that are said to have stuck around despite the restoration! Relax in the private gardens of Lord Talbot, which have been opened to the public and are described by garden lovers as a little botanic haven. Visit the unique local craft shops or sit back with a hot cup of coffee and a sweat treat from the Castle's coffee shop.  Continue on with a scenic coastal drive through the picturesque Malahide & fishing village of Howth. Take time to wander around this charming village before we make our way to Howth summit for a spectacular photo opportunity overlooking Dublin Bay. The Mountain Montserrat is a massive rock over 4000 feet high, visible for miles, with weird shapes and rounded peaks that jut into the sky; there are paths, stairs, caves, chapels and hermitages scattered over the mountain, extraordinary landscapes and wonderful views. No wonder the whole mountain is also a Natural Park The Monastery & Black Madonna The 1000 year old Benedictine monastery is perched half way up the mountain and sheltered by its peaks. There is a basilica with the Chapel of Our Lady of Montserrat known as La Moreneta, the patron saint of Catalonia, and a presence strongly felt and revered. The community of monks also runs a boys’ school devoted to the study of music. Take to the skies to see Brighton and the beautiful South Coast as you have never seen them before. In a fully enclosed futuristic glass pod, enjoy views across Brighton, the South Downs, Sussex coastline and, on the clearest days, all the way to Beachy Head. Enjoy a drink at the Nyetimber Sky Bar, one of the most unique bars in the UK, serving a range of local drinks including Nyetimber, an award-winning sparkling wine. Visit the beach building for the free ‘British Airways i360: How it Was Built’ exhibition, enjoy a meal at West Beach Bar & Kitchen or browse the BAi360 shop for a range of gifts and souvenirs, many created by local Brighton artists. During the summer months customers enter the pod from the open air boarding deck, overlooking the beach and the West Pier. Please note that the weather on the seafront can be changeable and, as the boarding deck is outdoors, customers should be prepared with wind or rain proof clothing. Pod flights depart every 30 minutes and each flight lasts approximately 25 minutes (including boarding and disembarking).   Afternoon Tea Enjoy sea-views whilst indulging in a delicious spread of sweet and savoury treats at the West Beach Bar & Kitchen. (situated in the BAi360 beach building) Each Afternoon Tea serves four finger sandwiches, two scones (one fruit and one plain) and an assortment of freshly made mini patisseries. You also receive a bottomless hot drink and can choose from a selection of Camellia’s teas, coffee or hot chocolate. Sandwich fillings are inspired by the seasons, and options include ham hock and wholegrain mustard, cheddar cheese and homemade chutney, free range egg mayo and even locally sourced smoked salmon and cream cheese.
