Bei einem der Anschlüsse handelt es sich um den Drucklufteingang. Über diesen empfängt das Doppelventil die Druckluft, die im Kompressor erzeugt wurde. Die beiden Ausgangsanschlüsse sind farblich gekennzeichnet, damit sie nicht verwechselt werden können. Der rote Anschluss versorgt die linke Luftfeder, der blaue Anschluss führt Druckluft zur rechten Luftfeder. Wird das elektrische Magnetventil nun unter Strom gesetzt, öffnet es sich und lässt eine exakte Menge an Druckluft hindurch. Wird die Stromzufuhr sensorgesteuert unterbrochen, schließt das Ventil und die Druckluft kann nicht mehr hindurch.
