It will stay on full power as long as it continues to detect movement. The light will go off when there is no motion. Mode 2 - Dusk till Dawn + Motion. The light will come on automatically as it gets darker but only using the low light setting. If the motion sensor detects any movement then the unit will switch to full brightness as long as it continues to detect movement. it will then revert back to low light after 15-20 seconds. Mode 3 - Dusk till Dawn.
