The best way to travel through the seven geographical zones is by a 40 minute long open air guided tram. This moving escapade gives you the best seat in the house (or jungle) to observe the animals on the rugged foothills of the Himalaya and the deepest recesses of the Asian riverine forest. Journey through the meandering trail past the authentically created habitats. The naturalistic habitats are designed to simulate the animals’ native habitats and are illuminated with subtle moonglow lighting. Existing since 1555, this neighbourhood was integral to the development of regional foods and Roman culture and still contains such landmarks as the Teatro Marcello, a.k.a. the Jewish Colosseum. Next, the tour makes two quick stops at the famous Mouth of Truth (stick your hand in and tell a lie if you dare) and the giant Circus Maximus, the ancient chariot racing arena. Then  leave the city in search of the most frequented thoroughfare in Ancient Rome, the Appian Way or Via Appia Antica You’ll stroll down the original paving stones as your expert guide tells stories of the thriving empire that once clogged this great road every day. The Bay and the Animals Who Call it Home - approximately 20,000 animals who live in the Bay and nearby waters, from octopuses to eight-foot sevengill sharks. Guests are also treated to mesmerizing walls of jellies and a chance to have up close and personal encounters with leopard sharks, bat rays, skates, and other “splash zone" animals. By connecting our guests with native marine animals in an engaging and meaningful manner, we nurture transformative, emotional connections that inspire conservation advocacy.
