Tras abandonar su resort y conocer a sus guías, empezaremos el ascenso hacia la reserva de Soria. Apreciaremos increíbles vistas del paisaje volcánico a lo largo del camino, una vez allí nos detendremos para tomar un desayuno tradicional (no incluido) de especialidades de la región, zumo de papaya recién fresco y pan casero. Ha llegado el momento de seguir adelante por la carretera, a toda velocidad por caminos de tierra levantaremos nubes de polvo a nuestro paso. Verás las casas-cueva locales, las plantaciones de frutas tropicales y las formaciones rocosas fuera de este mundo. Después de un viaje a través de un fragante pinar, pararemos en Tunte para almorzar en un restaurante tradicional. Disfrutaremos un festín de pollo asado, una selección de ensaladas y diminutas patatas de la región, acompañadas con mojo picón. La sangría y los refrescos también están incluidos en el precio. Luego, los más valientes pueden ir a dar un paseo en camello al estilo bereber en Fataga, por unos 30 minutos. Por la tarde continuaremos con nuestro viaje, atravesando algunas de las múltiples reservas naturales de la isla, haremos un montón de paradas para hacer fotos antes de regresar al resort más tarde. Esta aventura llena de acción 4X4 es la mejor manera de descubrir los encantos ocultos de esta hermosa isla.

Depart Edinburgh 08:00 and travel past Linlithgow palace and Stirling Castle. To the north is the National Wallace Monument, which commemorates Scotland's great hero William Wallace.   You pass close to the location where William Wallace defeated the English army in 1297, and after this take a short stop for coffee at Callander.        The scenery changes dramatically as you venture further into the Highlands. The flat plains of the lowlands transform into shimmering lochs, rugged mountains and forest-filled glens. The alluring beauty makes it easy to forget this was once a battleground of the fiercely territorial Highland clans.      You then head down to Scotland's most famous valley, Glencoe, where you’ll be mesmerised by the beautiful cliff faces and steep slopes.        After Glencoe, you enter a deep glacial valley, known as the Great Glen. Passing through the town of Fort William you travel in the shadow of Britain's highest mountain, Ben Nevis, before arriving at Fort Augustus on the shore of Loch Ness.        At 23 miles long and over 700ft deep, Loch Ness is the largest loch by volume in Scotland. The loch is best known for the legendary Loch Ness Monster ("Nessie") and you can take the opportunity to go in search of the monster on a fantastic boat cruise. Or you can simply enjoy the beautiful scenery on the banks. Fort Augustus boasts the Caledonian Canal, which is a great spot to relax and watch the boats sail by. You stop here for nearly 1hour 30min to give you time for lunch and time to take in the scenery around Scotland's most famous loch.        From Loch Ness, you head south through the mountains of the Cairngorms National Park. Your route travels alongside Loch Laggan (the setting for the BBC series 'Monarch of the Glen'), over the Drumochter Pass and past 13th century Blair Castle.        You continue south through the forests of Perthshire and make a short refreshment stop on the way. South of Perth you drive past Loch Leven. Then it’s over the famous Forth Bridge before returning to Edinburgh.            

The Palace is perhaps best known as the home of Mary, Queen of Scots, and as the setting for many of the dramatic episodes in her turbulent reign. Mary was married at Holyroodhouse and witnessed the brutal killing of her secretary Rizzio by her jealous second husband, Lord Darnley, in her private apartments. The Palace briefly served as the headquarters of Bonnie Prince Charlie during the 1745 uprising. Today the State Apartments are used regularly by The Queen and other members of the Royal Family for State ceremonies and official entertaining. What there is to see: The State Apartments reflect the changing tastes of successive monarchs and are renowned for their fine plasterwork ceilings and magnificent furnishings, particularly the unrivalled collection of Brussels tapestries.  One of the most famous rooms in the Palace is the Great Gallery, hung with  Jacob de Wet's portraits of the real and legendary kings of Scotland. Included on the visit, a display focuses on the Order of the Thistle, the highest honour in Scotland.  The Order honours Scottish men and women who have held public office or who have contributed in a particular way to national life. Shown alongside historic insignia is an example of the mantle worn at the Thistle ceremony at St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, which The Queen attends during her visit to the Palace in July. From 1 April to 31 October the gardens, which are today used for garden parties, can be included as part of a visit to the Palace of Holyroodhouse. Visitors to the gardens must keep to the paths, which are about 400 yards long. Crocodile Live Show Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is excited to have Boss Hog as a new member of the team. At almost five meters in length this massive salt water crocodile is an incredible sight to see. Come and learn about Boss Hog and his girlfriend Lilly as well as see the fresh water crocodiles.
